Google Search is utterly worthless and idk what's better (don't say bbg it's just bing. yandex has similar issues). it's always searching for some poo poo i never typed. Whether it's some computer poo poo like how something works on zsh it will return things about bash (with bash bolded as though it were my keyword), or bringing up accident statistics when I search "percent of motorcyclists who have multiple motorcycles," which I found the other week just fine. Nobody wants to make a search engine anymore.

naem posted:does anyone make actual blue jeans anymore? I've just been thru a whole jeans Thing and it's been such a pain in my rear end. I had a pair of Lucky jeans I liked and so I bought a couple of the same model number in the same size and they were poo poo. They were big as hell and stretchier then sweat pants and the reason is apparently because I bought them from Nordstrom rack instead of the Lucky store. I just recently lost a little bit of weight and so I had to try to buy new pants again and this time I went to a Levi's store- I had the same issue with Costco Levi's in the past, stretchy as hell and fit like dog poo poo. The ones at the Levi's store were exactly the way they're supposed to be, they fit exactly right, there's no stretch and they're regular rear end jeans. Anyway the man at the Levi's store told me that you can only get the good jeans at a dedicated shop and anything you buy at a Costco or a Macy's or whatever is subpar by design. My guess is that Lucky works the same way.

Big chains lean on suppliers to lower prices and the easiest way to do that is to make a separate product that is shittier for the people who want cheap stuff.

Jeans sucking is just punishment for not buying sweatpants. What's that? Sweatpants also suck and now have jogger cuffs/cuts and are made stretchy instead of just being relaxed and 100% cotton? Oh well what are microplastics anyway?

All the other features are just annoying and never work when they're actually supposed to. Lots of really lovely synthetic blends or full synthetic fabrics, and everything is so much thinner. It really stood out to me when I went to a Nordstrom Rack recently, it was piles of awful plasticy shirts and pants. Yes it's a clearance/discount store that isn't going to be top quality to begin with, yes synthetics are not always inherently bad, but this was just egregiously awful stuff. The difference in merchandise compared to only a few years ago was stark. I bought a.Big Dog hoodie this year and it's soft and thick and comfortable and wonderful

I have driven many new cars and the safety stuff is all garbage and detrimental and unsafe

Once you do have an option to do this online, the process is going to get worse in person as they get more desperate. I'm probably going to buy my next car through carmax unless anyone has experiences they want to share against that idea

Do they actually make people statistically safer or are you just assuming they do? Current data shows "self driving" systems like in teslas are significantly more dangerous than human drivers. No idea on the effects of the other driver assistance options are.
