My doctors (shared practice) are all 3 of the "take any shot you can" variety, really cool. I went there for my 3rd Covid shot last year after the impfzentrum closed down and asked whether making an appointment for grippe made sense. They just up and gave it to me straight away.

This year I called them about a Covid shot + Grippe shot on the 17 or 18th,got an appointment for the 31st, so relatively soon, but they can't do faster because they don't do Impftage every week anymore where all they do is give shots for 3 hours. Why? Because not enough people want the shots.

Sadly the missus now caught Covid last Friday, so no shot for her. I am still negative and hope I can get mine next week.

Hi there, would you like to try some spicy products?
Late-season chili-post:

I've moved my plants inside several weeks ago instead of just letting them die outside, and I fully expected them to be subject to an expanding aphid-plague almost immediately.
Haven't had aphids thus far and my plants have been able to carry some more chilis to term.

So :rip: 2023 chili season, it's gonna hurt a lot to move my plants outside to die once the delayed aphid-plague hits, but they served me well :unsmith:

In absolutely hilarious news, our German love for Israeli Propaganda clashed with our love for rules and cops:

The responses are so conflicted between police is antisemitic and poor police are probably forced to do this

Gentlemen, Movember is here. Shave clean today and grow a moustache in November to raise awareness for mens health.

No goatees, no full beards, needs to be a moustache.

And when peole ask what the hell you are doing, use the conversations to talk about men's health and issues like prostate cancer.

My dad is a prostate cancer survivor and once you talk to people about it you realize how many of your friends know someone who is affected but nobody ever talks about it and the importance of checkups.

So do your part and "Grow a Mo, save a bro" by starting the conversation with your weird excuse of a moustache this month.

I always found it a bit overblown that men need a whole month to commemorate their plight. But I guess considering how horribly stupid a lot of men are at dealing with health issues, it might not even be enough.

Mowember is incredibly lame and mustaches are awful. And as someone who had really recent personal experience with cancer I feel entitled to say this.
Please everyone, check your prostate and your testicles, but come up with a better gimmick to raise awareness.

I was in the hospital with a sepsis 2 years ago which was the result of a inflammation of the prostate that had shown no symptoms aside from sudden onset high fevers on the weekend, and I was in the urology ward of the hospital for 10 days with intravenous antibiotics and fingers and cameras, which turned out to thankfully be nothing else than an inflammation.

All around me there was dudes that were like "yeah I couldn't really pee right for the last 15 years but I was just toughing it out but now I also have to carry this bag of bloody urin around with me at all times because I have a permanent catheter until after my operation. Oh also there is a 50:50 chance it was cancer all along, but still, worth it!".

So, I've been pushing every male friend to actually go to their Vorsorgeuntersuchungen at every opportunity, not growing a mustache tho!
