Check out the filmography of screenwriter Eric Heisserer. Some people have one remarkable passion project.

It seems that more trailers are chopping up songs and using them to punctuate the trailer lately.
I like it when the action in a trailer is synced to music (like gunshots or punches matching a drum beat) but the strange orchestral version of a pop song just playing bits of the chorus just doesn't work for me, and it seems to be in more trailers lately.

On the other hand the movie does look like a lot of fun.

I remember the original series, and the only two things remotely from it are that he's a stuntman and the two tone jeep.
He was a bounty hunter in the original series, this doesn't seem to hint at anything other than prat falling into situations.

For sure it does happen. But after some recent adaptations I like to temper my expectations a bit lol.

Nice. Together with the jungle book thing sounds like maybe there is some cause for optimism in fact.

Stopped the trailer as soon as that hood was taken off, added to my TV list as that sort of thing is exactly my jam.

I got the Severance vibes from that trailer, though I do like the sound of it having a good wrap up when we've still got who knows how long until Severance season two even starts filming.

Per Deadline, Game of Thrones’s Gwendoline Christie and Godless star Merritt Wever are joining the team, along with Bob Balaban, Alia Shawkat, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and John Noble.

Back in August 2022, Severance executive producers Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and shared a few choices for their dream guest stars.

“For me there are a lot, people like Christopher Guest I kind of imagine ‘Wow that would be amazing if someday he might be a part of the show,’” Stiller said. “It’s fun when you have a show like this where it allows for people to maybe come in for an episode or two but also fit into the world of Severance.”

But, for Erickson, he would love to have former president Barack Obama make a brief cameo in the series and hoped he could try to convince him at the 2022 Emmys. “If he is [there] I’m going to see if he wants a role on this show,” he said. “I think he’d be really good, he’d bring some gravitas.”

i really really liked the first season until it ended and it seemed to me like they originally had an ending planned out but decided/were forced to cliffhanger it. second season felt like treading water to me and then welp

e: guess i might give s2 a second chance if it does have a good ending tho

It's started filming, I've seen pictures from the sets. I actually thought it was entirely filmed before the strike, but all the FX and additional work putting it all together would give them a release date in December/January. That was before the strikes, and I don't know what that all means but it seems like we're going to be waiting even longer.

Yeah, I can understand that criticism. I was fully into it, though. Not really a spoiler but it could have done with another season; however, not tying a final bow on the emerging storyline didn't matter so much because emotionally, the show had said what it needed to, and that was fine with me.

Their complaints are also pretty minor. “Marie Antoinette had short hair at her execution” and “Napoleon didn’t shoot at the Sphinx”. I mean, yeah, I guess, but I was hoping for something bigger. Like a post credit scene of President Thomas Jefferson showing up, “I’m looking to purchase some land...in Louisiana.”

I'm right there with him that he's creating art so he can do whatever the gently caress he wants, reality and history can go screw.

That being said, I can really sympathize with the Sphinx one really getting under people's skin. Perpetuating that sort of long-debunked myth is a bit lazy, like the "humans only use 10% of their brains" thing. It's a valid pet peeve, sure, but Scott should feel free to use it if it's important to his narrative.
