Our Boys in WW2 fought for our freedoms so why can't I be a gimp? Is that not what the poppy symbolises?

You must be able to get a poppy gimp suit and writhe around patriotically to show respect for the dead.

IMO he’s really pulling this look off and they should hire him to pose for all local news photographs from now on; gimp pointing angrily at potholes, gimp with arms folded scowling at pizza with meagre portions of pepperoni, etc.

The best part about the Somerset Gimp is that he told the arresting officers “I’m not a gimp, I don’t own a gimp suit, I’m not in a gimp suit" then the cops immediately found all his gimp suits and the self-insert fiction he'd written about wearing a gimp suit and becoming the Somerset Gimp

How did this: gimp1 /ɡɪmp/ noun 1. twisted silk, worsted, or cotton with cord or wire running through it, used chiefly as upholstery trimming. 2. fishing line made of silk bound with wire. Ah, I see, "You can see the thread up close here. You can see that it is a twisted thread, with the typical rope-like structure of a twisted thread." I think they've been lurking ITT. I think gimp has been in use to mean a rubber suit person for significantly longer than I've been alive, possibly even longer than you've been alive given how long terminology can stay underground, but I don't know why it means that. Of course, to me it primarily means GNU Image Manipulation Program

Oh yes I knew what a gimp suit was (indeed a friend and I visited one of those shops in Soho once and passed further & further into the back behind ever more curtains confronted with more & more scary gear) I was just wondering how the name of a particular silk thread became the name of a rubber (or vinyl whatever) suit. I/P - no photos just a political thing Meanwhile in "humanitarian pause" land - this is how it is being 'sold' behind the scenes in the US & almost certainly behind the scenes to the diabolical Sunak & Starmer duo. Meanwhile ceasefire is being sold as a means of hamas regrouping. Jaeluni Asjil fucked around with this message at 02:53 on Nov 4, 2023 |

"humanitarian pause" is an incredible term because it immediately invites the suggestion that we should resume the inhumanity as soon as possible.

It had that same vertical wine cooler. That’s my Wren story.
