OP’s comments are incredible.

Did you know lasers were once dubbed "solutions looking a problem"? Crazy, right?

You make a series of assumptions that are objectively incorrect, which is not surprising, given your inexistent knowledge of the space or the reasoning behind its use. And regarding the subjective aspects, such as it being an eyesore...I'll just say I find it a very interesting design choice that adds to the beauty of the space.

That is your prerogative, yes.

To finalize our conversation, I'll point out that the sense or value of something depends on a multitude of factors and perspectives. Someone might consider a faster car to be "better" but someone else value autonomy the most.

In my particular case, I believe this was the best option for my combined needs and preferences.

I still have the box for my 65" tv so I just went to measure it: 64"Lx38"Wx7"D. I'd be shocked if you can get this into a car somehow, I can't even store it anywhere besides my basement because it is so gigantic. I couldn't even get the 46" TV to fit through the passthrough with the seats down.

My last hatchback could carry a 36” mechanic’s service cart. The length might be an issue, but just prop it up on the back of the front seats.

I'm the hinges bolted into the top of the stairs.

How much force does a step take upon impact by an average person walking downstairs? 1.5x body weight? More if they're carrying a basket of laundry, too, I bet.

Enough that those should be through bolted with a washer or at least a t-nut on the bottom and that the barrels of the hinges should be welded so they don't uncurl.

I was once that skeptic. Sold my 6 foot couch before moving, and this couple shows up in a Fit to pick it up. The husband convinced me that it would fit and, after removing the legs and much struggle it did get inside with the trunk closed... By angling the front passenger seat as far forward as it would go with his wife still seated in there. I hope they had a short drive.
