Skyclad is awesome. I got into them after asking for bands like Slough Feg in this thread.

I'm also gonna tell you to check out Slough Feg because they are one of my favorite bands ever.

I've been real busy with obnoxious medical poo poo that's kept me from following releases as much as I'd like to the past six or so months.

Anything really cool drop in the following vibes?
Slam
Tech-death
Brutal death
Avant garde
Trad or like retro nwobhm

I liked the new Stillbirth and more recently, the new Xoth is fun.

The new Stortregn is my favorite thing that's been posted here, sort of a progressive melodic blackened sometimes techy vibe that just ticks all the boxes for me. New Dying Fetus is fine if you're into Dying Fetus, but it's nothing special imo. New Afterbirth is bizarre af and didn't click for me but is absolutely worth a listen. Also everyone says the new Wormhole is great but I haven't checked it out because they've never really done it for me. Also heard good things about Nightmarer but haven't checked it out for similar reasons.

Hello thread.

I saw Devin Townsend last night.

I was a bit iffy about it because I kinda...hated his last 3 albums. However, prior to those 3, I practically worshipped the man so I still had to go to check it out.

He was loving awesome. Wide ranging setlist including 3 SYL songs which were fuckin' nuts.

So yeah. Go see Devin Townsend live. He still kills it.

On my way to see him tonight, actually, and that's good to know! Still worried how my MS is gonna treat me in a standing room only venue though I gotta try and tough it out anyway.

Its usually worth asking the venue in advance if they can do any accessibility stuff. A mate of mine has trouble standing for long periods of time and when he goes to big shows at concert halls he’s usually able to wrangle a seat with a decent view (like near the soundboard).
