Bojo is a known denier. he caught it in the very first wave from shaking hands in hospitals unmasked and was in the icu for a week in which the uk did not have a head of government.

Hmm I guess one gotcha before I try sharing it out to all my 'lockdowns are bad because it caused immunity debt" friends is that the primary author is a high school kid who David Berger is mentoring. Not that the analysis seems bad, just wish it had a little more experience behind it. Of course, we're swamped in a sea of paper-mill'ed bullshit from libertarian think tanks, so I dunno why I'm concerned about pushing a smart high school kid's paper.

NYC wastewater data updated today and fortunately it appears community spread is trending down after a relatively small Aug-Sept wave: The NYC variant breakdown suggests the recent wave was driven by some combo of EG.5, FL.1 and HV.1 (don't take this variant contribution plot too seriously): Can't really compare absolute concentrations over widely-separated time periods but it does suggest the current situation is better than last fall. Less happy despite COVID cases and mortality being down it is still much more lethal than the flu this season: Tzen posted:got my kids vaxxed up with moderna today. with the updated juice, how have kids reactions been? they've been normal now but who knows what tomorrow will bring. Why has everybody at my work had brain frog the past month? (self.answers)quote:So everybody in my work place including myself has been experiencing pretty bad brain fog for the past month or so and we don't know why. We all started experiencing it around the same time, and it usually only happens at work. One of us will go to go something we've done a million times and all the sudden there's a mental block and it's like "what am I doing right now? How do I do this?" I would blame some kind of condition, covid, lack of sleep, etc. But the fact that it has been happening to all of us and that it started around the same time for all of us is suspicious. Could there be a gas leak of some sort that's causing this? Does anybody have any ideas? Suggestions, in order of vote score: quote:Get the place checked for carbon monoxide leak. quote:Maybe a Black Mold problem in the building? quote:What about infrasound? "Sound at frequencies lower than the low frequency end of human hearing threshold at 20 Hz." Sometimes hvac ductwork, fans or office equipment can make noise that becomes a problem. Repetitive sounds can kinda hypnotize folk too. quote:https://www.who.int/podcasts/episode/science-in-5/episode--47---post-covid-19-condition quote:covid 100% quote:Yeah, was going to say. I have colleagues whose brains must be swiss cheese by now, after constant reinfections and subsequent sickness, and they never stay home. It wouldn't surprise me that some places experience a kind of tipping point where a load of people win the long COVID lottery around the same time quote:60% of cases are initially asymptomatic. quote:Covid actually infected us all and everyone has got dumbed down. quote:Vaccinations are taking its toll quote:Airborne pathogens can be really scary. Your company should get someone to check air quality and clean the central air ducts. quote:Is it a trauma response to Israel/Palestine?
