This kind of implosion in the purchase flow is disappointing since this is the second launch of a Steam Deck device and Valve already acknowledged that demand was very high the first time around. You'd hope they would thus be prepared for round 2, but clearly not. Oh well. Time to hurry up and wait.

didn't they use the exact same ' please have purchased something from us before' method to gate oled purchases as they did original deck purchases? can't see that as having been an unexpected barrier for botting this time around
