nah the Google TV version is great because somehow 10 years later many people have no idea what casting is.

You can also sideload ad free YouTube "smart tube" onto a Google TV Chromecast.

Plus Chromecast often is buggy as gently caress so having the remote as back up is great (not even back up anymore, i just use the remote instead of casting 99% of the time)

quote:

HERBL’s rapid rise was driven largely by two factors: its exclusive distribution contracts with some of the biggest brands in the state, which made HERBL attractive for retailers and even smaller pot brands; and its tranche of investment cash, which allowed HERBL to keep paying its bills even as the rest of the state’s industry sunk into a debt crisis.

Both of those factors started to unravel in the past two years. In January 2022, HERBL lost its contract with Raw Garden, one of the biggest producers of cannabis in California. The distributor quickly filed a lawsuit, alleging that Raw Garden had breached its contract, but the lawsuit has yet to be resolved, leaving the distributor without one of its top-selling products.

Without a big name like Raw Garden, California’s debt problems started to drag down the company. HERBL had become known as the “bank of cannabis” in California because it kept buying more cannabis from suppliers, even after retailers stopped paying for goods they had purchased from HERBL. That meant HERBL was effectively holding debt for the entire industry. As unpaid bills piled up across California’s weed market — a 2022 report estimated that the industry was sitting on over $600 million in debt — it eventually became too much for HERBL to handle. Rumors started spreading that the distribution company, which had a reputation for paying producers no matter what, was no longer doing so. The panic led even more brands to leave the platform.

They’ve released mini solo stoves that they caution people to use outdoors or in well ventilated areas but their marketing shows people burning on a kitchen counter or coffee table lmao.

My wife got me one that uses alcohol as the fuel and I refuse to light it in the house for obvious reasons.

Sterno Stoves as a Service.

Though it's amazing how people understand how bad combusting anything indoors with no ventilation is, and indeed how few, and then turn around ready to die on the hill of gas stoves and ovens.

the thing about AI that I think is funny is that any Bot you create with openAI seems to only really work for a few responses before needing to be reset back to its original state. if you keep one going for any sustained period of time, it will devolve into a mish mash of answers to previous questions and confusion. it's like they go through Dementia at a hyperaccelerated rate.

I have smarter tech friends who have gotten around this, IE they have prompts to basically get the agent/Bot back to useful with a few copy paste keystrokes. they use it for an hour, are very productive with it, and it starts to get stupid, they start over. it’s a duck tape solution, but I’ve seen some results that are truly impressive. we have to remember for every dozen drop shopping scams with AI, there are smart peopling using it in interesting ways.

the FAQ for these is great

quote:

What is the point of a smokeless fire?
There are many benefits to a smokeless flame! A low-smoke fire (:thunk:) means there's less smoke to dodge, so you can enjoy a night around the fire pit without the smell to prove it. And with little to no smoke, less harmful particles like creosote are being released into the atmosphere, making your fire pit environmentally friendly.

Our customers have also been vocal advocates for the health benefits, especially. Less smoke from the flame means less smoke inhaled, making the 'round-the-fire enjoyment for everyone!

Can I touch my fire pit?
Fire Pits should not be touched while burning.
