Tactics Ogre is very good. I had never played it until the remaster, despite being a huge fan of the genre (I did play a TO game for gba though). If you enjoyed FFT you’ll be right at home; I put the TO story on the same level as FFT.

Similarly, I really liked Fae Tactics for its puzzly nature and open party selection with no grinding, and hated Fell Seal for being FFT style focused on building out your dream characters over the fights themselves.

Bundle of the Panzer Dragoon and HOTD remakes - $6 Kind of wanted the old style of HOTD and that is a short game anyway. You can beat it in 40 minutes. How is Panzer Dragoon?

Troubleshooter is 95% FFT and 5% XCOM. It is much more of a character-based strategy RPG where the strategy is building out your characters by mixing and matching abilities. To be clear, it is a very, very good character-based strategy RPG, but if you're looking for XCOM, that's not what it is.

I bought Everspace 2 on a whim. I liked the first game well enough and didn't have a problem with the roguelike structure of it, but I'm bad at games and even lowered difficulty was still frustrating (no interest in getting good anymore I just wanna vibe in reaction-based games). The sequel solves that but was actually making me motion sick so I might refund. I don't typically get a lot of motion sickness in games, but it does actually play more like Descent than a space sim and for whatever reason Descent back in the day was hell on me. If anyone has figured out a solution that isn't dramamine to that sort of thing I'd be interested because I would rather keep playing the game.

It happens whether you're playing in first person in the cockpit, or 3rd person with the camera behind the ship? Does it only happen when you're playing one of the zippy mobile ships? You could maybe try playing as the slow bomber or drone ship.

Going to be in early access til next year or so since hand drawn sprites take a lot of time and I only have one guy to draw them. In spite of that we've still got a lot of new sprite art coming through the pipe soon.
