I know he's been attached to sequels to his previous hit movies before. This would be (I think) the second one to actually get made. For years there was that rumor that they were going to make a sequel to 'Twins' and have Murphy as the secret third brother

Hell quite a bit of his stuff on Sunny is probably his best comedic work. Arnie and Murphy haven't been in much good in... a while, but that mostly just seems to be, being a bit checked out and arnie mostly being retired and Murphy just paychecking it, but like even with that it's not like Murphys performances have been terrible, he's just been doing pretty terrible material. So yeah if it had a good script -a big if- there's no real reason why it couldn't be a great movie.
