MS6 is cool but a little too big for my normal tastes. That’s part of the reason I don’t drive my S60R as much as it deserves.
I was worried it would feel too big, and while it is 10 inches longer and 436lbs heavier, it doesn't feel that big compared to my ms3. Its *barely* any wider. That being said, it is the biggest car I've ever owned except for my Econoline, I used to be very anti sedan

I got to drive a Mazdaspeed 6 once at a Mazda event in 2006 or 2007 or so. It was about 10 seconds of awe as I plowed into a dozen cones in Understeer City. I love it. Excellent car. Good job.

Welp. I did a thing. Again.

1999 Porsche 911 Carrera. 113k miles, came from Southern California about 18 months ago so it's never seen winter or salt.

Black exterior over black full leather supple interior. Factory M030 sport chassis, 220 Limited Slip Differential, Litronic Headlights, and the upgraded sound package.

Notable service from the Previous Owners include:
• 2015 - 93042mi: Brand new AC Compressor/Drier/Expansion Valve w/ recharge
• 2017 - 94291mi: Euro Plus Automotive purchases the vehicle from the owner. Brand new left cylinder head (1-3) after suffering an intermix failure. LN Engineering IMS/Rear Main Seal/Air Oil Separator/Clutch/Valve stem seals were done at the same time along with countless “while you’re in there” seals/cables/sensors/spark plugs/fuel filter items. Gearbox was rebuilt at this time as well and an updated detent was installed. Billed total was $13,397.49
• Numerous Oil Changes/brake pads/normal car maintenance items

In PO's ownership over the last year and 7000mi:
• Engine Side Coolant Rubber Hosing Service/Reservoir Cap/Coolant
• Winter Wheel/Tire Set Purchased
• OEM Porsche Transmission Fluid Change/Shifter Realignment
• Hengst OE Cabin and Engine Air Filters/Wiper Blades
• OEM Porsche Oil Fill Tube/Cap Replacement/AOS Coolant Hose Replacement w/ Metal Fitting
• CD Holder Delete/OEM Porsche Radio Cubby Install
• Ferodo DS2500 Brake Pads/ATE Type200 Fluid/Stainless Spiegler Brake Hoses/Pad Wear Sensor Bypass
• Bore Scope/LN Engineering 2qt Extended Sump/997 Oil Pressure Relief Valve/Driven DT40 12qt Oil Change
• Potenza RE71RS Tires 225/40r18 & 285/30r18 and Street/Track Suspension Alignment
• Headlight Restoration/Ceramic Coat
• Radiator Cleaning
• Fuel Trim/Camshaft Deviation Durametric Value Read (Healthy)
• Clutch Pedal Assist Spring Replacement
• Radiator Fan Resistor Replacement
• Headlight Gasket Replacement
• Rear window trim glued down + sunroof button repaired
• Exterior Paint Correction and Detail

I was looking for one with maybe lower miles or maybe a little cheaper, but this car isn't in maintenance debt and that was worth a few grand to me, so I don't have to worry about it for a while.
I had no "need" for it, but I finally got to be middle-aged enough to justify it to myself. I had to move the S60R outside to put this inside with the S2000, but it’s ok.

When my kid got home from work we decided to see if he fit in the back seat.

He’s 6’ so once he unfolded space-time to remove himself from that location, we talked about the car for a while and I went to bed in disbelief at the day’s events.

Now that it’s morning I can still scarcely believe it. Not even the most expensive car I’ve owned by some margin, but it’s crazy to have an porsch downstairs.

In January it’s considered an antique in PA so I’m going to try to get 996C as the custom antique tag, since they’re limited to 4 characters. We checked and it’s still available. 🤞🏻

Calling this car a "Series 3" at this point is a bit of a misnomer, though she's still technically an '85.

It's still a work in progress. Currently there are some panel gaps that make Teslas look like masterpieces, so I'm refraining from posting pics of the front. I've come to accept that Giselle is never going to be quite the same as before, but we're trying our best to get things "good enough" since I'm never planning on selling. On the other hand, last week my dad drove her once around the block for the first time in seven years.

Think it's one of the worst design fads in decades. I think the design styles of 2010s and likely the rest of the 2020s will be seen as a low point of car design by future people.

Perhaps my brain is broken. I've always loved the Bangle Butt and think it has aged really well. The E63 BMW 6er is one I keep flirting with going back to, but then I remember the pain of knackered valve stem seals and have a moment of clarity.

Yes...Ha ha ha...YES!

i just bought a 2014 jetta sportwagen/golf variant, specifically because i wanted a car with a hatch and a manual transmission so i could finally retire my mr2 into the role of nice weather car while also having something actually useful for once. i initially wanted an impreza, but since all the imprezas i looked at had twice as many miles and cost twice as much, i went with this instead.

everything i've read indicates that the 2.5 is an extremely bulletproof engine and man having something modern feels nice, i love my sw20 and all but it sure does feel like a 30+ year old car.
