Oh, cool! I have a couple Oldsmobile muscle cars from Hallmark already. :sound: indeed. Did they just straight pipe that V10 right out each side? I could have gone a little longer without getting it, if I'm honest. They *did* sell the '70 Chevelle SS 396, though, and I told him a number of times I was annoyed about that.

The guy that has it now is doing a ground up full resto which I never had the time or money to do so it's in a better place. But if you think I'm selling my GC8 WRX's then let me assure everyone the answer to that is "Not A loving CHANCE"

Oh gently caress yeah. Put a turbo Porsche engine under the floor where the rear seats would be and just have a long flat load floor. Do some kind of lever actuated inboard suspension. What wagon body do you use though? Is that a TSX wagon?

My mechanics posted Part 2 of his 240Z restoration. https://youtu.be/AfNTB1235V8?si=-FuFtBC9zAmuQv8_ Despite the fact that he hadn’t posted on YouTube for 5 months, he’s been doing (basically) daily Patreon vlogs. The amount of work he has done is absolutely staggering.

It reminds me of another youtuber (https://www.youtube.com/@OddTinkering) I watch that does restorations of all sorts of junk but a lot of video game consoles also. No talking, just captions and making poo poo new. It was very satisfying watching all the dents disappear.

Sudden Loud Noise posted:My mechanics posted Part 2 of his 240Z restoration. Some of the bodywork repair is stuff that would expect from stuff like Tyrell's workshop when doing Lamborghini concourse grade restorations, not for a Nissan. MyMechanics is one of the few "item repair" youtuber i can watch without feeling cheated at the result (a lot of them just disassemble the parts, chuck in a vat of rust remover and paint an hand of generic tool black).

He’s shared a few great stories about having to explain to other body work guys whom he’s asked for input from that he’ll be spending the next full week hammering and welding the imperfections of the lip on a Nissan hood instead of spending 20 minutes with some bondo.

Not up on body filler tech, and perhaps my comments are out of date...but when I watch other shows where they basically layer on an entire layer of filler to "make her straight" before paint I cringe.
