Is there any further confirmation on the forced suicide bombings? I discussed it with someone who loves their security studies degree and he told me this was tried in Afghanistan by Talibs and that forcing people to do this when they have no reason to believe you won't kill their family anyway does not work well.

The video in that article shows a camera being lowered into a tunnel, not a person walking in. It doesn't show anything about how the bomb was placed however.
