Our grandkids’ other grandmother in her early 70’s and stable in a good NJ nursing home, got the crud, spent a few days in the hospital and was discharged and returned to her nursing home. she was put on iv Versed and narcotics. She died in a couple of days and could not have any visitors and couldn’t be buried until late summer after dying in Feb.

My RN wife had an RN friend working in a local hospital ICU, tell my wife. that this was the new fast track hospice, in hospitals, nursing homes and even hospice at home.

That RN was correct and we saw the new hospice B$ used on relatives and friends, coast to coast for about 2+ years.

SS was a Ponzi scheme. I was away to push on the American People an enormous tax under the guise of a Widows and Orphans fund.

They told the people that this SS system would ensure that elderly women and orphaned children would have a subsistence income.

Meanwhile the excess funds were used to buy special government bonds that could only be redeemed to the Federal Government with the idea that those bonds would never be redeemed. In effect this was a tax and a lie.

The proponents of this bill never conceived that the birthdate would fall to the point where the system would fall into the red.

But consumerism, feminism and the advent of birth control killed the birthdate.

So, when the number of contributors to the number of recipients fell to about 4 to1 the system became insolvent. Hence you can not afford to pay recipients and the system fails.

We are all waiting for the second shoe to drop.

Eventually they have to shut it down.

And meanwhile the birthdate continues to drop, the Baby-boomers continue retire in greater numbers and the percentage of people participating in the labor force continues to decline.

Things really can’t look worse for the Social Security system.

here is an issue some are not considering...not everyone is equal in the area of ability. there is a good 20 percent of the population that because of intellect and other disabilities will always have survival minimum wage jobs and at the end 40+ years working will not have savings. I don’t have an answer for this problem other then look for those who are elderly in your community that are struggling and might not have family who will step in be the good neighbor if possible.

That’s a very salient point: that money was stolen from us for the time we worked . It is NOT gov. giving us anything. It is our money they took.

Those who run our country are afraid to shutdown or do what is necessary to fix SS and Medicare so they are trying to covertly kill off seniors.
