The problem is they're not fast enough and other teams know that so they just stand them up at the blueline and force them to dump it in. If they do, the Pens forechecker is either too slow or too uncommitted to get it anyways. And if they don't, they have to skate/pass through 4 guys which fails more often than not. Then once they do finally get set up they're only good if the other team plays a passive pk. If they're aggressive like the Canes they just don't make quick enough plays and pressure up top kills them
