My favorite meat is hot dog, by the way. That is my favorite meat. My second favorite meat is hamburger. And, everyone says, oh, don’t you prefer steak? It’s like, I know steaks are great, but I like hot dog best, and I like hamburger next best.

I have heard folks who read the polling tea-leaves say that could possibly change in the nearish future, by running up the score in FL and losing by less in deep blue states, but I doubt it.

A politics thing I learned: in 1886, Grover Cleveland became the first and so far only President to get married while actively President. Some "fun facts" about his bride, Frances Folsom 1. 25 years his junior, 47-22 2. Daughter of his (late) lifelong friend and business partner, basically his niece by both their reckoning 3. He was her guardian up until the second he was her husband, when he was also the President of the United States. Relationship dynamics that make you go hmmm

This always annoys me, people were not getting drunk because the water quality was bad. They were getting drunk because it was the only safe and legal thrill available until car batteries were invented and you could throw them in the ocean.
