I got a big bag of sugar-free cough drops (but it could be any candy) and popped those to deal with paxlovid mouth — for me it wasn’t noticeable when I was eating something else, only when I wasn’t, so it was really good to be able to roll over at 4 am and grab a cough drop to erase the taste. I don’t know if it’s best practice or not, but I also took NyQuil as needed at night. I also threw in aspirin regularly because I figured why not casually thin the blood a little for the clotting disease. quoting so the OP doesn't miss your sage advice sleeping with pax mouth was the worst part. it would be relatively under control until I went to bed and then just simmering that taste for X hours in my mouth was atrocious. i am also just on Grandpa Aspirin now, 81mg slow release

Pingui posted:Don't forget, either of you, to lay of physically strenuous activity for 4-6 weeks after you no longer test positive. Thanks, well noted, I shared a diagram that got posted here a while back about physical exertion post-covid with a friend who tested positive in the fall, and it sounded like he did pretty well following those guidelines. He's still not 100%, but we both think that the folks around here who came right back as soon as they were testing negative (or testing negative) and jumped right back in to pushing roadcases and lifting truss might have done some extra damage seeing as how some of them have a hard time climbing a single flight of stairs now... Also thank you for reminding me of the advice on cough drops and whatnot. Was gonna go with nyquil tonight but my throat feels like dry crackly garbage now, so thinking about picking up theraflu instead... Oh and as to the discussion a couple pages back about black auras, I think a big reason I haven't gotten any poo poo at my job for masking 100% of the time is because I wear all black iMask FFP2s, but that may be particular to being a stagehand. I would switch to black auras in a heartbeat if I could.

I've had good luck with the Honeywell Insight purifiers. I've got three sizes and there is some cross compatibility between the filters, which makes things a little easier to keep in stock. The little one is probably good for a small office. https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-InSight-HPA080B-Purifier-Indicator/dp/B09L9SC9YG

The little one is probably good for a small office. eg this one has a cadr of 65 cfm @ 79 buckaroos if you run it on the highest setting and it's noisy on that setting this is 3x the cost but has both better airflow (92cfm cadr) and very low noise and it can run for over 12 hours on a powerbank: https://www.cleanairkits.com/products/exhalaron for my money though this is probably still the best small/medium air purifier for the cost/noise/cadr: https://www.amazon.com/LEVOIT-Purifier-Home-Allergies-Pets/dp/B07VVK39F7/ 141cfm cadr @ $99 and you can run it on a lower and quieter setting if you were, for example, forced to work in an open office space full of plague rats some of whom might complain about the noise good luck and remember air filters arent a substitute for wearing an n95

Do you angle the purified exhaust directly at your face or slightly above so it creates more of an air wall effect?

A few months back she got yelled at a bunch by a lot of the less disability aware zero-Covid twitter people for daring to post a picture of herself maskless at a museum, which is a very good example why voices like her's are important and need to be louder. It's a good piece, and depressing to read because I know that masking is never coming back en masse, a point which was emphasized to me today after getting being told to take off the "face diaper" for the second time in a month. You'd think this wouldn't happen walking down Bloor St. W. in the middle of the afternoon but .
