My local hospital was considered a top 10 system in 2014. It was purchased by healthcare corporation of America that is completely running into the ground. It’s just starting to come out right now that they’re in danger of losing Medicare plus Medicaid reimbursements because of how many “adverse effects” they’ve had over the past couple years. They simply will not hire Enough, nurses staff, CNA, respiratory therapist, to safely provide care. And the way they reimbursed doctors through RVUs is based on how many procedure you perform because they can build more for those. But if you don’t have enough rooms, you don’t have nurses, you don’t have enough people that can exercise people, you can’t do any procedures. The result of this hospital cannot hire we doctors.
