Hey Garland you azz, more damage could have been done with stuff you can buy in any hardware store. In fact it has in other cases. That’s something people rarely bring up: many things are more effective for mass murder than guns.

I am not trivializing the damage done by the scumbag. Also not trivializing the pain the families feel. But to blame the gun is just ignorant.

There are only two real people/things that should be blamed: (1) the (thankfully now dead) scumbag, and (2) the incompetence of the police.

So GTH you POS Garland.

Not a coherent thought in this post, but this part made me laugh.

quote:

To: Cincinnatus.45-70

I suggested as much at University. “If someone is prohibited from owning a firearm, we necessarily would not allow them to vote, would we?

And vice versa. After all, voting is more dangerous than a gun could ever hope to be.” They didn’t like this train of thought. The left likes to talk about “Disenfranchisement” but there’s a whole bunch of people who never have been franchised in the first place.

Anyhoo, 18 year olds get “military grade weapons” in the military. Planes, ships, howitzers, you name it. Is the AG suggesting 18 year olds can’t handle the responsibility?

Probably not, what he is suggesting is that only the military should have guns? Maybe he should think his arguments out better. The press might be partly made up of idiots, but most people involved with firearms are not, and we shouldn’t discriminate on the basis of age anyway.

What’s that I hear? 16 year olds should he able to vote? Illegal aliens? Maybe all these assholes should re-think what they are advocating for, assuming they still don’t fully grasp the implications.

Illegal aliens have the right to keep and bear arms. Because reasons. American citizens, especially 18 year olds not in the Army, do not? Or something like that.

It’s complicated, H8r!!!

Pastor Alistair Begg Says Christians Should Attend Gay Weddings So They Don’t Come Across as ‘Judgmental, Critical’ posted by freeper fwdude

the article posted:

Alistair Begg is the senior pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio and is perhaps best known for his syndicated radio program, Truth for Life. He has authored and coauthor of several books, including Preaching for God’s Glory, Name above All Names, and the Christian Manifesto. With a reputation as a sound teacher, he can occasionally be found on the conservative preaching circuit, and is a speaker at the upcoming Shepherds Conference alongside John MacArthur and Steve Lawson.

During a recent program of Truth for Life, Begg offers a scenario where a Christian woman called in saying that her grandson is about to marry a ‘transgendered person’ (either another man who has ‘transitioned’ to a ‘woman’, or a woman who has ‘transitioned’ into a ‘man’) and wants to know if she should attend the wedding.

Noting that “people may not like this answer,” Begg says that as long as grandson knows that she believes it is sinful and she does not agree with it, then she SHOULD attend the ceremony, and even buy them a gift, because if not, her absence will simply reinforce the fact that she is “judgmental” and “critical.”

So... bite your tongue and have some tolerance? Too "woke" for freep, I bet.

Thinking on this, because I have a healthy brain that thinks freep thoughts, I have a hypothesis : this is from them being too bigot-brained to actually understand why [unspecified gay person] didn’t come to a wedding. Someone (e.g.a niece/nephew) didn’t come to a wedding because they didn’t want to spend hours in a roiling maelstrom of homophobia with an open bar. Freepers in general have less emotional intelligence than the average 6 year old, so they interpret this as a lack of accommodation. Combine this with their entire reasoning pattern being about misgeneralizing misunderstood anecdotes and you get why they think it’s a universal rule.

It’s a couple different kinds of unfalsifiable, but it would explain the whole thing if true.

There was a way he and Steve Bannon could have avoided this situation, but they both chose another more confrontational path.

Trump was willing to waive executive privilege, and both could have testified before the committee without disclosing anything that was privileged.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-says-waive-executive-privilege-ahead-steve-bannons-jan-6-committ-rcna37505

The other thing they could have done is actually show up, they refused to even show up at the hearings.

Once they got before the committee just plead the 5th amendment to every question and refuse to talk.

The entire thing is a joke, but in this situation Navarro and Bannon both chose to be defiant and it’s going to cost them not only a short jail sentence but a ton in legal fees.

Why Does the Bible Forbid Tattoos?...And have we been misinterpreting Leviticus? posted by freeper Red Badger

When I was growing up, I remember seeing a lot of opinions from now-freeper boomer types that getting tattoos would be a sure-fire way to never gain employment. I'm up here in "liberal" Portland Oregon and it feels like even the most professional professionals have often chosen to get tattoos and it doesn't seem to have hurt them in the slightest. Of course, freep doesn't like progress. Or tattoos.

Part of being a Christian is "loving God with all your mind". That means you are supposed to think about things a lot, apply common sense to decisions, and be wise.

Paul said that our body is a "Temple of the Holy Spirit".

If that is so, then, obviously, marking it up is ill-advised.

But marks are forbidden in one or more of the first five books of the Old Testament.

The other thing is the themes of the tattoos are almost always evil, promoting satanism, perversion, drug culture, or just nonsense/nihilistic designs.

Tattoos scandalize (i.e., freak out and frighten) children, and in part they are designed to offend them and all adults who see them.

It isn't rocket science.

People who can't grasp the above have a real IQ problem, IMHO.

WEF Member Calls for Farming to Be ‘Serious Crime,’ Equal to ‘Genocide’

OP posted:

...
Speaking from the WEF’s summit at the luxury Swiss ski resort, “Stop Ecocide Now” founder Jojo Mehta argued that fishing and framing should be considered equal to “genocide.”

Mehta insisted that fishing and farming for food should be a “serious crime” while arguing that it is immoral to make money from these industries.

“We have this cultural, very ingrained habit of not taking damage to nature as seriously as we take damage to people or property,” she told world leaders, bureaucrats, and corporate elites at the event.

She continued by claiming that farming, fishing, and presumably hunting, are “mass damage and destruction of nature.”

Mehta then demanded that these activities should be legally recognized as “a serious crime.”

“With human rights, mass murder and genocide are serious crimes, but there is no equivalent in the environmental space,” she said.

But millions of people have vaccine injuries, or have family members who do (both in my case), and see gain of function as more dangerous to the world than nuclear weapons, and therefore it some people’s minds it trumps ALL issues. They see that more important than some newspaper poll blowing in the wind.

At this point in January 2023 there were more than 15 announced and unannounced GOP Presidential Wannabee’s who were encouraged by RINO donors and advisors to take the throne away from King Trump.

Now there is one remaining wannabee, Nikki Haley, to have a big X placed on her name.

Once Nikki is removed, the MAGA team needs to focus its attention on preventing voter fraud in November 2024.

Keep in mind that Biden has imported 10 million illegals into this country and we can be assured the Biden Crime Machine has been getting these 10 million illegals to the Voter Registration Offices thru out the USA.

You need to take a step back and look at what is going on.
  • Conservatives, like myself get trashed all the time. FR is not the conservative forum it used to be.
  • More specifically, conservatives that no longer support Trump or that see Trump as not conservative, get trashed all the time.
  • A conservative viewpoint is okay until is conflicts or contradicts Trump.
  • Anyone that doesn't support Trump get trashed all the time.
  • Any candidate not Trump, regardless of how conservative, gets trashed all the time.
  • Currently winning and revenge top conservative values.
  • FR is very polarized at the moment, viciously so.
  • Anyone not towing the line with the current groupthink get suspended. Remember the discussions of Obama Kool-Aid, now we get the Trump Cult and Q.
Okay, I've been here since around 2007 and this is repeated cycle, but seems to worsen each election cycle. Jim tries to reign it in, posts periodically, but it is a polarized mindset and hostility that poisons too many discussions. A few people prefer rudeness, insults, name calling, and bullying over substantive discussions that a conservative forum like FR deserves.

Once I got his book, The America You/We Deserve, I realized this was his Administration Template.

In his second term, he will slay the EPA, COA, DOJ, Education and revoke the 10 point racial and gender preferences in favor of population representation in education and hiring seeking qualified applicants.

Trump is the conservative alternative to the RNC/RINO party.

His election put the Ukrainian War against Russia on hold for four years, until Bribery Biden kick started his money laundering machine. Biden turned Hamas loose on Israel to save Ukraine funding but it backfired.

Trump is the only person running against open boarders, forever wars, the Administrative State law making, and he alone will drill baby drill, and put the economy running in the black.

For those on FR who don’t like Trump they will vote the alternative and support the NWO, WRF, DNC and RNO RNC.

Jim, do you not see that a lot of us fully and energetically supported Trump in 2016 (with lots of initially hostility from Cruz supporters), then again in 2020. We are conservative and Trump is not. We've pushed back and encouraged Trump to do more, questioned his wobbly views at times, all in the spirit of what makes FR great. That we chose differently this year doesn't negate our conservative values, which I think you clearly hold as well. We just wanted a different standard bearor, less drama, more long-term wins, not fleeting EOs. Well, I suspect we'll see a lot of butthurt today as Trump will very likely being doing a complete 180 on DeSantis, singing his praises. Can the Trump supporters keep up?

By the way, where do conservative views fit nowadays? Do they get set aside and ignored when inconvenient? Is it now wrong to support, encourage, even demand them when a candidate doesn't step up sufficiently? If Trump is to be the nominee, don't we have a responsibility to speak up or are we to just quietly go along for the ride?

They wanna outlaw coffee now?

These people really have a death wish.

They know that the good folks of this Earth will not rebel but allow themselves to be walked on. This is exactly the reason for having the 2nd Amendment. But many of us think that the 2A is something to boast about.

They.

Are.

NOT.

Insane.

They are evil.

Remember that bit about the future being a boot grinding your face into the dirt, forever?

The WEF crowd think they'll be wearing the boots.

They want power for its own sake. Unconstrained, absolute, and beyond question.

They get off just thinking about finding new ways to make YOU grovel at their feet.

Tyranny is never ended without bloodshed.

Historical fact.

Tyranny only understands superior firepower. Respects it too.
It will eventually come down to a fighting war.

They all really do have CO2 on the brain. They think they are “science”.

I think they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

Unless you are a plant, (and even then, I believe), you need to release CO2 into the atmosphere to even live. That seems to be the common thread in all this evil masquerading as insanity. They don’t want anyone else to live.

And die.

The only thing that does not release CO2 is something that has been dead so long it is not decaying any longer.

We are an essential part of the planetary cycle.

Do away with all the things that give off CO2 and you have a dead world.

I used to think "The Order of Null" was a fantastical reach because sentient beings could not be that stupid. I was wrong.

I am thinking that their “science” is whole-cloth lying.

The atmosphere of Mars is primarily CO2. I bet that the Earth’s once was, too. CO2 is probably the greatest transporter of Carbon in life on Earth.

The reign of plants has changed Earth’s atmosphere forever. Yet, earth life needs CO2, as its animals need Oxygen.

These grifters are the same scoundrels that you see roll into town every few weeks in the old “Rifleman” series. They have a wagon full of elixirs to sell, or lightning rods that never get delivered. It is the time-honored human condition of the shuck-and-jive, always trying to talk someone else out of their money.

They may have to pry my gun out of my cold dead hands, but I will kill them if they try to take away my morning coffee...particularly if they come for it before I've had my morning coffee.

Talk about triggering a civil war. There won't be anything civil about it. The zombie apocalypse will look like a potluck dinner at church by comparison.

These new Nazis are bizarre. Even Hitler didn’t tell people what they could and couldn’t eat...as long as you weren’t a full Jew. Half and quarter Jews were treated entirely different, although he did strip them of their German citizenship, and left them in limbo through the whole war. They weren’t sent to camps, and many served in the military.

“From my cold, dead hands.”

I think most of us here have the same opinion.

My coffee maker is on all day and night. Yes, I switch it to decaf or “half-caf” in the evenings (hubby never knows), but we drink a lot -— I mean a lot of coffee. Without coffee I wouldn’t get anything done. So, sue me for it! I would sue them back. Given the amount of coffee attorneys drink, I suspect they would join us in a class-action suit. LOL

The evil WEF crowd do not realize what they are doing when they threaten us “Boomers” and our coffee.

Consider the basic scientific logic here. When rays come from the sun they go right through carbon dioxide molecules, but after striking the earth the rays bounce off carbon dioxide molecules and are trapped in the atmosphere. It could only make sense to these people.

There is some merit to the understanding of Greenhouse Gases. A greenhouse works, right?

The frequency of light is different in the two scenarios you describe. White light, composed of many high frequencies, from the Sun can penetrate atmospheric CO2, though much of the lower frequency infrared cannot. When it strikes the Earth, it warms it and the Earth emits a lot of infrared. This can, now, not easily escape the CO2 in the atmosphere. The result is greater warmth.

Of course, these dimwits are lying about the magnitude of this effect and the necessity of atmospheric CO2 to life, I believe. Like COVID they use a juvenile understanding of a subject and the endless energy of their jaws to see if they can get others to work for them.

According to World Economic Forum Agenda Contributor Hubert Keller, “The coffee that we all drink emits between 15 and 20 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of coffee… Every time we drink coffee, we are putting CO2 into the atmosphere.”

I wonder if this dimwit has ever heard of the carbon cycle?

The emission of CO2 into the atmosphere is not a one way street. That CO2 is taken right back out of the atmosphere by a number of processes, the most significant one being the growth of biological organisms.

This means that the process of growing coffee removes CO2 from the atmosphere.

CO2 levels in the atmosphere are at geological historical lows. I think that one reason those giant animals existed millions of years ago was because of higher CO2 content in the air--meaning more carbon to incorporate into fats, proteins, and sugars that make up biological organisms, and more O2 from processing the CO2 into fat, protein, and sugar.

These days, CO2 concentrations in the air are almost at the lower limit of what some plants need to survive. And no, it's not a matter of losing a few plant species and everything else is fine. Those plants are like the canary in a coal mine. When plant species die off because of lack of CO2, that means the capability of the earth to support life is diminished because the biomass shrinks for lack of CO2.

No carbon, no life.
