I'm a former fat dude that lost 100lbs and kept it off, and I always get a bit disheartened when my brothers get too focused on a particular gimmick or diet plan or whatever. Your weight is ultimately going to reflect your lifestyle, and a gimmick or strict diet won't be your forever lifestyle. These things can be good as an intro into calories and nutrition and all that (many people are genuinely clueless about calories, nutrition, etc.), but focusing on the idiosyncrasies of any diet program usually leads to a dead end. Gimmicks are fun for a little bit, but committing to simply consistently logging your calories (even without explicitly changing eating habits) would make me way more optimistic.

He’s a slovenly single guy who owns his own house. The fact that he does it doesn’t surprise me so much. The fact that he voluntarily tells everyone he does on the other hand…

I don't even mean that it's gross, if anything it's surprisingly hygienic since he runs the shower afterward, but how do you even arrive at that as your routine

catching up on episodes "haha isn't this silly romance fantasy crazy where she jacks off an orc with a horse dick and it cums everywhere nonstop lol I’m just sitting here lmaoing my butt off!" [i]20 minutes later "one time in college I saw a donkey with a boner and I was like staring at it for 20 minutes and kept thinking about it and looking at it" well alright

lol yeah that segment/guest were ok but dragged a bit. Sometimes podcast guests have struggling LA comedy scene energy & are fixated on trying to make a topic their gimmick, but I dunno non-mainstream fantasy character fetish stuff doesn’t seem particularly novel or shocking in 2024. I remember on another show Nathan Rabin seemed confused that the premise of “Nic Cage has an odd career!” wasn’t enough to have agents kicking down his door.

I hope that defense of using AI art on the rudolph's roadside website was a bit. "If we didn't use AI art we couldn't have done it" Thats probably the most bullshit line I've heard them say on this podcast and I've been listening since 2016. Like, the blatant hypocrisy of going on strike to protect their ability as creatives to not face undue pressure from AI misusing their work, then to turn around and do the same thing to another creative is surprising and unexpected from them. When you also consider that they make enough money off of the patreon to pay someone several thousand to make the site with legit art from a real life artist and not miss any bills its even more ridiculous.

They're shilling for sportsbooks and nicotine products now, I don't think hypocrisy regarding AI art is beyond them at all.

# ? Feb 2, 2024 17:30 |

I think they were saying “if we couldn’t use AI then we wouldn’t have done it” because they don’t care enough about the bit to do it properly. They’re not taking money out of an artist’s hands because if they had to pay money for it they’d just choose not to do it at all. It’s still theft and I’m glad they owned up to it, but I get what they’re saying.
