Sexy Beast has some of the fingerprints of a great British gangster heist show. But something feels off, like the British gangster isms have been written by someone whos seen all the British ganster movies and shows, but never heard it in real life. I dunno, still fun.

One major change the live action Avatar is going to have is they've removed the ticking clock element from the comet. Which makes sense seeing as they don't know how long it will take to make more seasons and they actors are all going to visibly age since they're all kids.

The Traitor is back on Peacock. It's low calorie reality tv, effectively high stakes Mafia, but the first season had a couple of great things going for it: - All Star cast of reality tv stars from Real House Wives, Bachelors, Big Brother, Survivor, etc. It's surprisingly charming watching these D-listers interact. - Alan Cumming is chewing it the gently caress up as the Emcee of the show. Killer host. He's approaching it like the Chairman from Iron Chef, fully committing to the games reality. Great fits too. Second season has likewise been a hoot so far.

I haven’t seen the US version yet, but I’m gonna jump in and say to watch the UK seasons too as they’re mostly likely better. No celebs it’s all just regular people, the stories all the way through are great and both seasons end with strong finales. Claudia absolutely makes the show her own.

She was the best part of Below Deck and the show never really was the same when she left. Last year my wife made me start watching Below Deck with her and I’m ashamed of how into it I’ve gotten. Only watched the original and Mediterranean, though.

I don't just mean dressing like characters from the shows. I mean that the shows inspired lines of clothing that are meant to make you look like you work in a restaurant. Then it hit me: Being a chef, while not my dream, is the dream of many many people around the world. Children and adults alike. So of course they'll find it cool. It's just another version of people wearing camo with standard issue boots when they're civilians, pilot watches when they work in an office, and 80s power suits when they're business undergrads. But I despise all those things too sooo e: I went too hard on the watches. Buy them. Just don't brag about features you'll never use. Better yet, book a few hours in a Cessna. Errone should do that. Fifteen minutes ago I asked my chef pal if he watches The Bear or Boiling Point. He gave a fairly emphatic no. I lived with two other chefs in my time and they didn't watch these types of shows. And I don't talk to a third but I doubt he would. Makes sense. Doctors don't watch medical fiction (key word). Do lawyers watch Suits or Rake?

I don't know a single doctor who hasn't watched Scrubs at least once. In medical school, we would have House watch parties. Gray's Anatomy was the heavy favorite among women in our school. I don't think there is a standout medical show currently aside from first reaponder based ones to be fair.

Yeah. It stresses you the hell out. I wouldn't say the first season glamourizes anything about being a chef. From line cook to haute cuisine, apparently, everything has its point of being hosed up. I'm still waiting for a Spanish dub version of The Bear to show a family member who lived that life as a chef in a restaurant. I live in the US, so Hulu never put it up.

Of course professionals watch shows of their jobs as long as it's good and isn't too silly about it, alot of these shows have good consultants. Like I've heard Scrubs has some realistic points to it amidst the silliness, and some of the David Kelly shows have some realistic points from my viewpoint. There really hasn't been a super realistic lawyer show (not a litigator) that I could find other than I don't know movies like a Civil Action or something bc being a lawyer is mostly just pouring over documents and client calls.
