Yeah those bastards took the opportunity to just gently caress everyone as hard as they could during the pandemic They were filling every availible space for containers on the ships so they could just dictate their price which was 6 or 7 times the price before the pandemic started for a while there Every time I talked to a freight forwarder they sounded like they were ready to put a gun in their mouth

My dad bought a new Highlander hybrid last year. Last night he sent me an email about a subscription service renewal and today he called me angrily that his screen is blank in his car. Apparently the navigation and infotainment screen runs off the cloud and you have to pay monthly for it. It has CarPlay but he’s saying that’s not working either so idk what the hell is going on. Glad to buy a $50k car and you gotta pay monthly to use built in services now.

You have the goddamn phone and the car has a screen with connectivity so how is a built in feature a subscription service? Again, I don’t know what my dad is talking about. They live a couple hours away and I have to see it in person to figure it out.
