I had no idea Pedro Pascal was The Mandalorian.

Doesn't The Mandalorian never take off his helmet? I've not actually seem the show and am not caught up on the lore.

It's rather like Hugo Weaving being V.

He does, a couple of times. But he gets in big trouble for it with the boss lady, Womandalorian, because then the world can see that he has bad helmet-hair and he has to ceremoniously wash his hair in an ancient flooded temple with a dinosaur in it.

Mando Season 3 was basically "Pedro's busy filming The Last of Us right now so here's his body doubles and Katee Sackhoff instead."

Trap sprung and all but IIRC the rule is just that they can't take it off in front of other people. Mandalorians still gotta eat somehow.

I don't think it's a huge spoiler to say that you do get to see Pedro Pascal's face in the show.

At this point I guess it's really not for me. Having not seen it, I actually thought the whole Mandalorian thing was that they couldn't take off their helmet, for some reason. Like, they couldn't breathe normal air or something. I figured their food and stuff was administered through their, um, helmet or... or something...

The first two seasons have some good parts but the show really struggles to be good when Disney wants it to have an overarching plot and tie in to their six other shows. The best episodes of mandalorian are self-contained plots where he just goes to a planet and finds out the people there have a problem that he can help them with.

Yeah absolutely, and it's pretty good. The character really shines when he goes around helping others and begrudgingly acts as space dad, or episodes that are basically Lone Wolf and Cub.

same

the worst episodes are trash like that one where he teams up with Inexplicably Lawful Good Now fett to kill stormtroopers or the ending of s2

the at-st one is stellar

all of the episodes that make fanboys go "OH MY GOD" are the worst ones, lol

it's double funny because the present show-runner essentially "fixed" Star Wars by providing the first new fresh take on the universe in forever, and them immediately spun around and started circle-jerking over his own characters like he's writing garbage fanfiction.

like he got it and then immediately forgot it, within the span of two years.

"so now baby Yoda meets Luke but he's the Most Specialist Boy and too special for him and the cool guy gets his Super Cool Space Ship and they're the mostest bestest- and here's these other people I made, that are really special now. So special!!!111"

Also it should be twenty-five episodes a season to make room for more of those episodes. They can keep a few plot eps at the beginning and end of the season.

Agreed. The best episodes of that kind are when Pedro is helping a bunch of poor villagers defend against bandits / monsters /empire forces. Just a simple plot of good vs bad.

The swamp village episode stands out particulary because it has an awesome enemy (A salvaged AT walker), and also scene where Pedro briefly takes off his helmet to chillax

I watched the first season of Mando and half of the second. I would watch more, but there are too many streaming services and they're too drat expensive, and frankly I'm too lazy to pirate. I really did like the self-contained episodes though. They had a very Cowboy Bebop soul to them, space faring around and solving troubles while collecting bounties. Pedro really sells the role well.

THANK you for asking the question we’ve all been wanting to ask but were too afraid to put into words.

Seriously going from the Razor Crest to the N1 is like going from a Winnebago to a 2002 GT-R; totally not a like for like replacement.

Oh poo poo this is the TrumpLOL thread uh—

So is the Mayorkas impeachment farce dead or what? That’s such a dumb waste of time. Here’s the Democrats, including Biden, signaling to the GOP that they’ll get on board with a bill to close the border and the GOP response is “nah instead of actually closing the border we’ll just try and fail to impeach a cabinet member while complaining that he hasn’t closed the border, something even the president doesn’t have the authority to do, unless we vote to let him, which we can’t do because we’re busy being useless”.

This is why I can’t run for elected office, I have neither the sheer brainless devotion to partisanship necessary to embrace the absurd levels of hypocrisy involved, nor do I have the emotional fortitude to not unleash a torrent of unpublishable profanity at those who do.
