the Subnautica thing is a case of exec-facing language being extremely dumb because executives are very dumb; they clarified what they meant in a place that wasn't an earnings report. By 'service game' they meant 'we'll keep updating this for a few years' and by 'multiplayer focused' they meant 'co-op will be in the game, instead of not in the game'
