It's pretty genius if you ask me. American psyche has moved on from being "temporarily embarrassed millionaire" to "temporarily embarrassed billionaire." Just gotta hit the next Powerball because it's my turn.

Anyhow, didn't AliExpress offer site-wide Chinese new year sales the last couple of years? I've got a bunch of photography stuff in my cart that ain't moving in price and I missed 11/11.

Probably not, no. I'm sure they said they did, but Ali Express "sales" are just them hiking the prices up a bit or a lot and lying about what the price originally was.

Can confirm; I put in a couple little Ali orders on the 8th and they are absolutely sitting on that poo poo. I don't mind--I don't need them right away, and I'm used to orders taking ages (though I've been spoiled by the 14- and 11-day delivery they've had recently).

I don't know if you guys browse Tiktok enough but people have been hawking this neck iphone holder where you can film what you're doing in front of you hands free and without having to setup an arm. I thought I could use it for watching videos while I was cooking but the prices on them were pretty crazy. Right now its $38 or so when you try to buy through Tiktok. I found the same thing on Amazon for $28 (where it would go on sale to $26 a lot) but still that was way too expensive. Finally looked on Aliexpress and they were anywhere from $11-$13 depending on color. I bought one expecting it to take a month but it actually shipped pretty fast. Ordered on the 2nd, delivered on the 9th.

It's not that great for viewing videos because it's a little bit too close to your body so I probably wont be able to use it for that comfortably. I still have some things I want to try out with this and for $13 it was fine. Wasn't going to pay $38 for it.

This is the link if anyone's interested. It's up to $16 now though on that store but you can look around and see if you can get it cheaper

Any guesses on a use-case for a phone screen autoclicker? Only thing I can come up with is some type of automated click farm, where they feed content to the phones and clicking like or something, maybe?

This knockoff Citizen Star Wars watch I bought is still going strong. I set an alarm for 5:00pm when I got it in June or July and it’s just started going off at 5:01pm instead. I’ve been meaning to change it for a couple of days but now it seems like an interesting way of measuring it’s accuracy over time.

I've just had AliExpress rule against me in a dispute for the first time and then deny the appeal.

They say the tracking shows the item is waiting for me at my local post office. The tracking does not in fact show this...

Spiral Architect
Jun 26, 2004

I ordered something back in the first week of January, and the item never made it out of China. The seller told me there were shipping issues and that I should mark the item as successfully delivered but to say that I just no longer need the item so that they could issue a refund. I thought was super weird, so I contacted Ali's customer support to ask them what to do. They told me to do the same thing, and I did actually get the refund.

I'm glad I got my money back, but I'm kind of shocked I got it back.

Idle games usually give you stuff for tapping constantly. I've used auto clicker apps when playing those.

I think it's got something to do with Amazon delivery gig jobs I guess unless you use a bot or auto clicker to take the job you don't get it.

Maybe also people who want the best Cookie clicker scores?

I'm actually pretty sick of breathing in the claw smoke from my old dremel pet nail grinder so I'm going to give this thing a shot!
Seems like an obvious thing to add a small vacuum fan that sucks up the dust but this is the only one I've found with that feature.

Please share when you've tried it. I've been doing dog nails with a dremel for 16 years now. Tried some of those pet-particular ones and always junk the protective shroud (it never worked right). But yeah, tired of the dust in my face while I'm trying to see what I'm doing.
