That's not out of the question for a middle class couple with some savings and maybe home equity or whatever.

Oh good, I think I was the only kid in my class that hated the movie the parent trap. Like, at no point did the girls, in any version of the movie, show any kind of anger that their parents had lied to them for so long, nope. They were all caught up with the idea of making their parents, who had been divorced for 10 years or so, get back together! And of course the parents do see each other and fall in love because the past 10 years haven't happened, and whichever one of them already has a partner has to totally hate kids or something to that effect. I remember some behind the scenes thing about Mrs. Doubtfire, and the original ending bad the parents getting back together, but pretty sure Robin Williams and sally Field insisted that not happen because of the false hope it would give kids that divorce was just temporary, and your parents will get back together and realize they love each other if you just do some wacky stupid kid stuff.

Ocean’s Eleven also makes no sense geographically as the Bellagio, the Mirage, and the MGM Grand are blocks away from one another. Also the idea that casinos would share a vault when they’re bought and sold all the time.

No one particularly cares, but comes to mind why using fictional counterparts is usually smarter and also a lot more fun. Also, heh, reminded of the finale of Wonka. Heists are an almost cliched finale sequence to lots of movies, especially kids' movies, but they're fun for a reason. Rogue One is basically a heist come to think of it too. Just a trailer so far, but Despicable Me 4: oh boy, we needed another one of these. And HAVE TO have the trope of incompetent dad/baby loves mom cause she's super competent. Incredibles 2 at least did it realistically. And why the hell are the girls looking the same as from the first movie? Down to the very same outfits. Venture Brothers had a good explanation for it, but I am doubting the dudes at Illumination are going for quite that route.

This is why I appreciated Sister Sister when it was on in the 90s, which did the trope of separated twins much better because Ray and Lisa AREN'T a couple and in fact have other relationships outside the household. They only live together because their daughters never knew each other existed and really want to bond which they are both fine with. The arrangement is purely so that Tia and Tamera can fully reunite and develop a relationship

Telepathy is actually a pretty common Hidden Ability among a lot of Legendary Pokemon. Even the ones who aren't also Psychic types. Not even getting into how speaking human isn't even that big an accomplishment for a Pokemon given Meowth can manage it and everyone just treats him as a weirdo loser. (Which, to be fair, he is) Actually, how many Pokemon movies even have legendaries suddenly talk? I've seen a few of the early ones and communication barriers across species are a major theme, with Meowth often acting as a convenient translator. Funny thing is Mewtwo seems implied to have part human DNA, given its original is basically Jurassic Park and it looks way more humanoid than what it was supposedly cloned from, and I think that's straight up stated in one of the manga adaptations. (Which take a lot of liberties from the games, but still)

I think if people had the ability to talk and to understand animals, they'd realize most animals do not want to talk to us. Wild Thornberries was pretty drat cool even if the human designs were creepy as hell sometimes.

Pokemon Adventures is batshit insane and I highly recommend it to everyone (There's a shadow war between the gym leaders, all the PCs are introduced in their respective games, and time actually moves forward as the series goes on! And that's just talking about Red/Blue/Yellow!)
