Nintendo life played an hour of peach showtime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLU680NLQ9o Pretty much confirms what we were all expecting. Super simple. A to jump, B to do an action, X to remind you the controls. Super easy...but charm out the rear end. You're on a stage the whole time so everything looks like a prop, like at one point she's riding a wave and you can tell it's made of cardboard. Tons of little details, like he mentions when she's ninja peach and goes into water, she sticks a bamboo above the surface to breathe through. Frame rate dips during some transformations, otherwise it looks really good. The reviewer left feeling more excited for the game! God it looks loving rad In conclusion, once again nintendo has insulted us hardcore gamers with more zero effort trash, and when the gamers eventually rise up nintendo will loving pay for this

Kirby and the Forgotten Land (the best game on Switch btw) has the perfect balance of casual + collection/completionist + hardcore challenge. Sad that every other dev is simply too lazy and hides behind the "it's a kids game" shield when 70% of the people who will buy it are 35 year old men.

Yeah I watched my son 100% Kirby and it was surprisingly deep and challenging. He kept making me help on the very last few bosses but I would just die immediately and get in the way

Mavis Beacon may teach typing, but Kirby apparently teaches manners and gratitude. My youngest got Kirby /Forgotten for his 7th(?) birthday and he devoured the game in a few days. He goes back and replays it every couple of months. He hasn’t been nearly as excited about Return to Dreamland, Star Allies, or any of the other ones. Something about the 3d viewpoint vs 2d side scroller just hits his little brain differently.

Shouldn't be too crazy to port to the Switch considering it's using tiny amounts of power on the Steamdeck, but I wouldn't be surprised if the source code has been lost considering neither that version of Atari or the studio exists anymore.

I think I would have been vaguely interested in Let's Go if they at least made Kanto feel a little fresh rather then it basically being Gen 1 with watered down gameplay. but then again, it is TPC/Game Freak, so ambitious is not exactly in their lexicon. On a technical level, pretty much 1:1 playing it on Switch vs Deck except for Steam specific stuff like achievements and obvious stuff like comparing scores against Steam friends.
