Here’s the topic

Navalny was never a popular figure in Russia, his image was constructed by Western intel ( Bellingcat and shadowy NGO’s). Russian elections are next month and Navalny posed no threat while imprisoned. His party ( by the Russians who even knew who he was) was regarded as extreme nationalists. A member of his party assassinated a popular Russian blogger with a bomb, several months back

Maybe Navalny’s highest and best use now was to be used to try to discredit Putin by dying in jail.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

We are being played and just in time to distract from the rapidly evolving military disaster in Ukraine, the stalled US funding for Ukraine, the upcoming Russian elections, the aftermath of the Carlson interview, the attempts to spread fear about some future Russian ASAT weapon…

Unfortunately I think either Navalny the anti-Putin darling of Western alphabet agencies and their lapdog media had to be martyred by or on behalf of his Western masters, or his clot sudden death will be used to make him a martyr and rattle more war sabers vs Russia.

Btw, Gonzalo Lira was an American/Chilean dual citizen with a Uke wife and family, living in Ukraine, whose crime was to produce folksy youtube and alt media rambling reports about his life in Kharkov and scuttlebutt about the Uke political and military situation. He called out Victoria Nuland’s vicious meddling repeatedly. He was arrested by the SBU to shut him up. And died from torture and deliberate medical neglect. To date there has been no call out to Ukraine by the US for his death.

Find ONE PERSON who is killed, possibly by the state, possibly not (who knows for sure, so just claim it so), and then hold the ENTIRE COUNTRY responsible for that death...much as they held all of White America responsible for the death of George Floyd.

It seems to be a tactic of the Left, when they have nothing to offer on their side - just try to get people at each other’s throats.

It makes the moral criticisms meaningless and powerless and it begs the question if you really have a problem with the persecution and murder of political adversaries why not start here at home BEFORE criticizing another?

Believe me this is a huge problem for our government. The very thing that made America a dominant world power is that we were perceived as good, we were the good guys. And because of that goodness we had a superior quality of life for the average bloke and our present government is busy destroying the very key to our success in the name of “democracy” Sad times.

I think we need more details. Navalny was a western style demonstration-organizer. I don’t blame the Russian authorities for cracking down on demonstrations and their organizers. Had the US done so in the 1960’s perhaps the US would not be going down the tubes like it is now.

If Navalny died as a result of a “hunger strike” then it was on him. If he died as a result of murder by another prisoner, consider that many US prisoners are murdered in prison. Jeffrey Dahmer was one. If he was murdered by the authorities, then that is too much.

Along those lines, I suspect that Navalny’s murder was a sure thing before Carlson came knocking. Had Navalny just been murdered, there is no way the interview would have happened, so the interview had to go first. Once it bore no fruit, there was no reason for delay.

An alternative possibility is that some in Putin’s faction were displeased with Putin’s nice guy act, and killed Navalny to derail potential for a negotiated settlement over Ukraine.

The “Ukrainian Nazis” you say...

Thus you are talking about National Socialists, Right?
For the anecdote the Democrats in America call these people “far right wingers”... In reality they are socialists.

There are such Nazi groups in Ukraine, in Russia and in America. But in neither of these countries do those socialist Nazi groups have any power, whats so ever. They have ZERO representatives in congress or parliaments.

Ukraine’s President Zelenski is Jewish. Members of his family were deported and killed by the Nazis during WWII.
So, insinuating that Ukraine today is ruled by Nazis... is simply an insult to intelligence.

When it comes to Navalni, he was the Russian Trump-equivalent. He represented the poorer middle class Russian people / the “deplorables” - yearning for freedom, and the end of big government. Navalni was the one fighting in a peaceful political way against the Kremlin deep-state establishment.

Well... Putin killed him for it. Putin wants to preserve the deep Kremlin establishment, directing it from his ivory tower... whatever the cost.

So... who in Russia do you an I support?

The “deplorable” Trump-equivalent people?
Or do we prefer Putin’s deep-state establishment?

Evidently I support the “deplorables”.

#10, Alexei Navalny - Forever Remembered, a vanity thread posted by freeper Srednik

I have added a few linebreaks to this to make it readable.

quote:

THE PASSING OF A CHAMPION OF FREEDOM, ALEXEI NAVALNY

Today Russian news outlets reported the death in captivity of Alexei Navalny. His crime? Opposing Vladimir Putin and supporting free elections. What impact does his death have on us here in America? Plenty. Beside the undisputable poetic truth that ‘no man is an island’ and ‘the death of one diminishes us all,’ there are frightening parallels between the rapidly shrinking political freedoms in Russia and in our own land. Navalny’s rhetorical question (and oh, he was a ‘shutnik,’ a joker!), “So why does Putin hate free elections?” might as well be asked here. Consider Alexei’s answer: “Because he might lose!!”

A first reaction to the sad news for Navalny’s wife and daughter, for Russia, and for all of us, was to project a revolt in Russia that would result in what Navalny patiently and peacefully prophesied – free elections and an end of centralized tyranny in post-KGB (they call it the FSB today) Russia. And then came the realization that the for-profit, (BIG profit!) moguls who swept up Russian industries and resources in the early ‘90’s when communism “fell” (teetered then morphed may be more apt), have co-opted all the organs of state security, bureaucracy, censorship, and spin control of the USSR and adapted it to their new and fantastically profitable ends.

Friends, here are some questions to build a thought-bridge between Russia and America today:
1. Do we have free and open elections in America, where one-citizen, one-vote is the rule, and the boundaries of our US Constitution and state election laws are respected?
2. Do people of all political convictions have the freedom to assemble and to peacefully demonstrate to express those convictions?
3. Have you seen evidence of police state tactics being used in America, such as SWAT teams’ arrests of cabinet members and advisors of political opponents of the current regime?
4. Does the “unison chant” of the “alphabet” media outlets, where they cheer for their likeminded political figures bending the law to their own benefit, while “piling on” as a team against the opposition party, sound like freedom of the press to you? Or state propaganda?
5. Do we have political prisoners held for years without bail here in America?
6. Final question, how is it in Ronald Reagan’s America, his “city on a hill today?

In that punishment cell in Siberia, north of the arctic circle, an eloquent and brave Russian is now free of persecution, pain, and isolation. May God have mercy on his family. May his work continue and prosper – even to those in the “land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Sad, inexcusable, and disproportional. Navalny had as much of a chance of shaking up the system as Cornel West has of becoming POTUS.

On the other hand, Navalny’s death is already being canceled out by those of innocent, uncharged J6 detainees in our own prisons.

Compare Navalny’s fate with that of a known mass murderer like Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, architect of 9-11.

KSM is living better now in a U.S. jail than he ever did on the run, and probably will outlive many of the firefighters who are dropping dead of cancer from the toxic fumes.

Coddling terrorists while persecuting for free speech on one side (the West), vs. persecuting or assassinating political prisoners on the other. All ridiculously irrational.

Beam us up, Scotty. There is no intelligent life on this planet.

Probably poisoned, so, it’s necessary to hide the evidence. Like Brian Sicknick, immediately cremated after dying on J6 by being hit with fire extinguisher, I mean, after a stroke. Wait, he’s not dead yet? Ok, now he’s dead. Yeah, cremated, after an extremely rare official service and buried at the Capitol, because he was killed by being hit by insurrectists with a fire extinguisher.

Except he wasn’t, and they weren’t.

6 posted on 2/17/2024, 6:13:54 AM by coloradan (They're not the mainstream media, they're the gaslight media. It's what they do. )
[post quoting Wikipedia omitted, he died of a stroke]

Yes, dying from a stroke after a stressful day is possible, but, considering how important his death was for the Deep State narrative of violent insurrection, and, considering how his death was (extremely rarely) pre-reported, and his service was also extremely unusually held in the Capitol, and his body was cremated (destroying any evidence), it is also possible that he was murdered by the Deep State as a sacrificial pawn to advance the insurrection narrative and seal the case against Trump and the J6 protestors. Consider, for example, how persistent the reports of his death due to bludgeoning by a fire extinguisher were, after he himself posted that he was “fine” after the event.

In order to advance a particular hypothesis, there is a duty for your hypothesis to explain facts and circumstances around the event. Furthermore, unless you can convincingly refute alternative hypotheses, those other hypotheses have to remain as open possibilities.

I could add that the Deep State isn’t at all averse to committing murder to advance its interests, considering the treatment of the officer who killed Ashli Babbitt, so you can’t just say “that’s ridiculous, they would never do that” regarding murdering Mr. Sicknick.

na guys it wasn't putin, it was the N E O C O N S

quote:

To: McGruff

Makes sense to me, as Russia had NOTHING TO GAIN by offing the guy, since his ‘liberalism’ is now TOTALLY DISCREDITED in Russia, due to the Neocon War in Ukraine - to put it another way, the Neocons have made it perfectly clear that they have ALWAYS viewed Russia as their enemy, at least since Russia made it difficult for Pedophiles to operate there (starting in 2014).

So Navalny had about as much credibility in Russia as the American Nazi Party had in the US, after Pearl Harbor.

But his death was VERY CONVENIENT for the Neocons, as it took away from the biggest defeat yet for them (Avdiivka), crumbling of Ukraine lines elsewhere, and it happened during the battle for another $61B of grift.

Did the Neocons get Navalny killed? Hell if I know...all I know is that the timing of his death was as close to perfect as possible for the Neocons.

The 16th thread is boring - 100% slapfight between pro-Russian dumbfuck MotorCityBuck and the rest of the thread - so here it ends.

Almost.

Throughout all of the threads, a few freepers have been harping on the case of Gonzalo Lira. I think that the title of this Daily Beast article will sum it up: How a Sleazy American Dating Coach Became a Pro-Putin Shill in Ukraine.

His Wikipedia article makes things a touch more clear about how he ended up not just in Ukranian prison, but how he ended up a talking point by the Russian defenders on the American right.

Wikipedia posted:

On May 1, 2023, Lira was arrested for violating Article 436-2 of Ukraine's criminal code, which prohibits justification of Russia's ongoing invasion of the country.[6][38] The Ukrainian Centre for Strategic Communication and Information Security noted Lira had also shared pro-Russian disinformation such as claiming the Bucha Massacre was faked or that the Ukrainian government was a Neo-Nazi regime, and that Lira had shared video of himself insulting Ukrainian soldiers.[39] His arrest was reported by the SBU on May 5.[40][41] Lira was subsequently released on bail and placed under house arrest.[32] He returned to social media to claim to have been tortured while imprisoned, an allegation denied by the SBU.[32] Lira attempted to flee the country by crossing the Hungarian border on July 31 to claim political asylum, but was captured and arrested again for violating his bail conditions.[4][42]

In December 2023, Elon Musk, CEO of X (formerly Twitter), publicly inquired about Lira on his platform, in response to a post by media personality Tucker Carlson calling Lira a political prisoner.[43][44] The SBU responded that Lira had been detained in accordance with the law.[38] Musk's post was also labeled with a Community Note explaining the nature of Lira's charges, after which Musk claimed that the note had been "gamed by state actors".[45][46] In a Business Insider interview that month, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, now a Ukrainian military spokeswoman, asserted that Lira had fabricated his torture accusations in an effort to gain sympathy.[44]

Most of the cars had a pistol or two in the glove box ... again unlocked. WE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.
Guns don’t kill people and pencils don’t misspell words. People kill people... where did we loose the basic value of respecting others? I remember in the 50’s of separate bathrooms at the county fair... but society saw the error of that and they were eliminated. Frankly speaking is see more racism propagated by minorities than by “whites”.

Yes, there are some fans who are freaks, and the fan fiction, unfortunately like most Internet fan fiction, is heavily skewed "gay." But it's also simply a very good, funny, and clever cartoon show with lovable characters and high fantasy world building.

Also unfortunately, at the very end the show (and its comic books) starting pushing the homo agenda, but it's far from the blatant level of some other cartoons.

I've loved cartoons all my life, and it's disgusting how degenerates and perverts can ruin such lovely characters and stories.

Police did arrive due to an anonymous tip that the event was promoting 18+ content to minors, but when they arrived, they didn't find anything that really broke any rules. They did however request that the convention close up shop early, which they agreed to do. In the end, only about 2 hours were lost over the course of the event.

Haley: If Trump Takes Over RNC, GOP Won’t Win House or Sentate posted by freeper ChicagoConservative27

the article posted:

Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that if former President Donald Trump were allowed to put loyalists in charge of the Republican National Committee, there would not be any money left to win control over the House and Senate in 2024.

I have bolded that part because I want everyone to remember the context of her core complaint. There are over 110 posts in the thread. Here are all of the posts that address or at least even mention her core point.

The RNC should be a money-raising machine.

The Trump brand has top notch money-raising power.

The Romney and Haley brands just blow slightly warmed air fruitlessly.

... yup, just one. One post out of one hundred ten total posts directly addresses her stated concern of RNC funding for downticket races under Trump leadership. I almost posted one more that talked about their fundraising but it was "Trump doesn't need RNC funding" which misses the point. So here's the rest of the thread.

I think she is correct - the current state of the ‘Republican’ voter block suggests she is correct.
The cognitive dissonance on display from the Left and the emotional reactionism we see on the right leaves little room for success when applying economic reality and a constitutional republic governance model. Things will need to be very uncomfortable for us to get things right. The degree government coddles the population and bleeding hearts on both sides takes me back to Mitch Romney’s ‘47%’ comment. Is it any better now?
Reality is Trump is divisive - divisive enough that a little election fraud will not allow those votes to count for Trump. The simple minds of people don’t understand that vote fraud in as few as 10 big cities twist the election results - you don’t need it widespread to accomplish your goals. The media uses this lack of knowledge to argue it has to be widespread to be ‘legitimate’ voter fraud - reality be damned. Doesn’t help we are 4 years removed from the Great Steal and little has been explained to the public on how the election was taken out of their hands - along with imprisoning innocent people to shut up anyone in opposition to their plans.

We will see why he did not debate in Republican primary - we have a hint at some of his cabinet choices if rumors are to be believed. Funny, it required his son to proclaim hell no on Haley as VP. Microsoft, Google, Amazon and tech peers sign pact to combat election-related misinformation posted by freeper devane617

the article posted:

The industry is specifically targeting deepfakes, which can use deceptive audio, video and images to mimic key stakeholders in democratic elections or to provide false voting information.

Microsoft, Meta, Google, Amazon, IBM, Adobe and chip designer Arm all signed the accord. Artificial intelligence startups OpenAI, Anthropic and Stability AI also joined the group, alongside social media companies such as Snap, TikTok and X.

What are the actual things they're doing? From the Microsoft press release, not linked by freep:

quote:

Participating companies agreed to eight specific commitments:
Developing and implementing technology to mitigate risks related to Deceptive AI Election content, including open-source tools where appropriate
Assessing models in scope of this Accord to understand the risks they may present regarding Deceptive AI Election Content
Seeking to detect the distribution of this content on their platforms
Seeking to appropriately address this content detected on their platforms
Fostering cross-industry resilience to Deceptive AI Election Content
Providing transparency to the public regarding how the company addresses it
Continuing to engage with a diverse set of global civil society organizations, academics
Supporting efforts to foster public awareness, media literacy, and all-of-society resilience

Honestly this is some pretty weak poo poo. The deepfake cat is already out of the bag and in the hands of anyone with a sufficiently powerful GPU. "Detecting distribution" might be worth something, but that sounds an awful lot like CeNsOrShIp. Freep, what do you think?

Hitler stood against that. Hitler was evil, no question. However, he understood that not opposing Kalergi would have meant the eventual genocide of the natural born Europeans.

Those who have made a bogey-man out of Hitler, so that you can’t even discuss any aspects of him are using him as a bogey-man to hide their intent to eliminate white people from the earth.

He was on the left. There are two kinds of right and left. You have objective right and left, which is a description of an individual’s relationship with the government. Somebody on the right will want strong individualism and weak government. Somebody on the objective left believes in weak individualism and strong government.

Then you have subjective left and right, which is relative to you.
Right and left are political continuums with everybody in between but everybody being relatively more right or left to each other within the continuum.

Somebody who says that Hitler was right-wing is telling you that they are to the left of Hitler. The only leftist political philsophy to the left of Hitler is communism. So the American liberal is either communist or near-communist.

Hitler wanted whites to be his soldiers, by ginning up the idea that Kalergi wanted white people gone, which he did, and their willingness to be part of his military was about protecting their survival by eliminating others.

Yes, Hitler had plans for America once he solidified his control of Europe. He had international ambitions and any idea of rebuilding the German empire was about having Germany as the New Rome.

Get real. Germany didn't have the manpower to conquer the U.S. Hitler only wanted the central bankers that was controlling his country gone, and the bankers got the UK and U.S. involved to destroy Germany.

They were clearly winning until the you-know-whos got the U.S. involved.

WWI was nothing more than a pissing contest among dying empires. If the U.S. hadn't got involved, it would have ended in a stalemate (Similiar to the War of 1812) and Europe would have been stronger and the 20th century would have been much different.

These are very, uh, unique definitions of "right" and "left."

quote:

To: Extremely Extreme Extremist

You are applying the European definition of right-left to politics. In Europe, there is no individualist politics of any note. There are no parties that support a European equivalent of American politics. It’s all big government and socialism won. Nobody argues against socialism. The debate between right and left in Europe is between keeping the monarchy or going full out Republic.

In European politics, rightwing is fascism and left wing is communism and being a centrist is still being a socialist, but a kind socialist where you can have freedom after giving your time and assets to the liberal, until the liberal is full. Once the liberal has been fed and is satiated, then you can exercise your right to freedom with you have left.

Hitler was on the left.
He wasn’t a national socialist, in terms of only being concerned about Germany. Him and Stalin had plans to divide Europe in the middle. Hitler had plans to expand his empire once he solidified control of Europe.

His nationalist ambitions was to make Germany the New Rome. In that sense, the difference between him and the globalist liberal is that he wanted a Rome, while the globalist liberal didn’t want a national country to lead the world. But, economically, there was little difference between the two.

I’m just pointing out what Hitler wanted, in regards to whites. That’s all.

For Hitler, going after North America was an eventuality. Whether he could do it at the time or thirty years down the road or a hundred does not change what he wanted.

Hitler's National Socialism emphasized the family unit and community, but still gave people individual rights and freedoms. It has absolutely nothing to do with the type of socialism you're referring to, it wasn't Communism, and it wasn't the crony capitalism that's destroying America and Western nations today.

Joy Reid...always wrong.

Slavery was not legal and never legal in most of the United States. One of the reasons the North was able to win is that they did not have slavery and thus their agriculture vastly outproduced the South’s who relied more on involuntary labor (that did not earn wages and thus did not further contribute to economic activity elsewhere) vs. paid farmhands and technological innovation. Slavery retarded economic growth where it was practiced.

There it is. The real cause of secession. The slave states were falling behind the free states in every way and they knew it. They knew that eventually the free states were going to get such a large majority that they could vote slavery out. This “we built America” claim is nonsense.

Most of us Southern heritage have most of our family tree full of sharecroppers, miners, loggers …. Most died fairly young. The south was never full of white plantation owners living off black slaves. It was a few working the poor whites to early deaths.

It makes me wonder if they even know, and even then, if they would believe it when told.

Trump Must Pay Half a Billion Dollars Before He Can Appeal New York Decision posted by freeper ChicagoConservative27

There are 165 posts and I'm willing to bet that most of them will be outrage because they just learned this about the way the appeals process works in New York for civil judgements of this kind.

When you lump it all together and pre-pay the mandatory interest (roflmao) it comes out to like $450 million.

I read earlier that it includes potential interest. But how can this happen, and Trump not have the ability to sue the court, judge, and/or prosecutor if this is slapped down? The judge made the penalty so high it would potentially prevent Trump from appealing. I so hope Trump’s justice department goes after these people and bankrupts them.

It only looks difficult. But it’s not.

The reason it looks difficult is we assume they’re using law against Trump. But they’re not using anything remotely related to law.

If they were using law, it would have the appearance of justice.

Why does the deep state avoid using the law? Because the law defeats their every purpose. The law is on our side.

When the defeat of the deep state is fully recognized, we will see how easy it was.

And here's exactly one post from Trump Will Challenge Judge Engoron’s Definition of Fraud, Lawyer Says posted by freeper CFW

In this one post we see again the core intentional lack of understanding that freepers have to have in order to spew their bullshit. if they paid attention to actual news sources for information about the trial, they'd understand why there was a summary judgement, but then they'd have to admit that trump did crimes.

quote:

To: CFW

The judge in this case ruled against Trump via summary judgment

The thought that a judge can rule on any complex fraud case via summary judgment is total absurdity.

Fraud cases in general are extremely difficult and complex cases to try, even if there is obvious criminal conduct because you have to prove an individuals willful intent to commit fraud.

It's very common to get criminal conviction but not prove the fraud component

In this case the Judge has defied all legal precedents by convicting on fraud when there was no criminal or illegal conduct or even the slightest hint of any attempts to commit fraud by anyone in the Trump organization.

In the specific case of Trump, it's simply not possible to dispose of the case via summary judgment under any circumstances

It's kind of amazing how Covid and Obama are the two things they have never been able to give up as part of their conspiracies. Especially when (for better or worse) most of society basically stopped thinking about either a while ago.

Anti-vaccine paranoia and post-black president stress disorder are basically core parts of American conservative ideology now in a way I did not expect. I expected Obama to remain a boogeyman, but I didn't think he would still be the mastermind behind everything 16 years after he was elected.

Other paranoid figures and theories come and go, but Obama and the covid vaccine are always present.

Navalny died in a Siberian work camp? Covid vaccine.

Shooting in Kansas City? Orchestrated by Obama with the help of the covid vaccine.

Joe Biden/Hakeem Jeffries/Chuck Schumer? All puppets of Obama.

Overdose deaths rising? Covid vaccine.

Chiefs win the Super Bowl? It's all about the covid vaccine.

Chiefs win the Super Bowl again? Obama setting up his psy-op puppet (Taylor Swift) to continue his deep state reign by endorsing Biden.

Migrants crossing the border in record numbers? An attempt to get more people vaccinated for... some reason.

Employers requiring covid vaccines? Obama trying to get us with the covid vaccine.

Employers stop requiring covid vaccines? Obama trying to lull us into a false sense of security to get the covid vaccine.
