From what I saw on Metal Twitter it was all one guy trying to get them shut down over their “liberal agenda.”

From what I’ve seen it seems more likely that they didn’t address a permit issue that they had been aware of, fined for in the past and never resolved, and that the guy complaining about woke metal clubs reporting them wasn’t really the cause of it but on the other hand,

But really, I don’t know. I hope they figure it out one way or the other, I was about to buy spectral voice tickets and I really want to see that show :colbert:

I saw them touring with Lamb of God. I wonder if that was it. Whatever. I just remember laughing at King's stupid chain fetish.

It's...just odd with Kerry's side project being an identical clone of Slayer.

Gary Holt has repeatedly said that he'd jump back in, so I'm pretty sure he's doing it 'cos he loves it. Kerry's been whining about it for years that it stopped. Haven't heard from Tom in years.

It's just odd timing.

Oh it's got nothing to do with Gary, he rules, I just never felt like I needed to see them again without Hanneman and Lombardo. Idk, don't want to spoil my memories of that I guess. When they had their "last ever NYC show" it was on the same night as King Diamond in Philly, and it wasn't even a hard decision for me to go see King Diamond.

He just has a good technique that doesn't shred is vocal chords. I don't know if he's just lucky or had training when young though.

If you flip back and forth from 80's recordings and modern stuff you can tell he really doesn't hit the high notes like he used to, but where he does sit is still really well done.

You've got to either be really sloppy or have an incredibly delicate technique for your cords to be the thing that hold you back as you age. Nobody really talks about it, but with trained belters, usually it's chronic pain conditions, the kind you just pick up as you get older, causing muscle spasms when you engage certain support muscles. Once you stop being able to support fully, your high end is done.

New Darkest Hour? Had no idea they were still making music after like 2005. No wonder they’re going to be playing at some random local bar here in a few weeks.

Veritas Aequitas is one track that I remember from back in the day that I listened to poo poo out of.
