I use to live in the Bay Area CA and always thought I was just allergic to all plants until i started traveling for the Navy and it turns out I'm just super allergic to Acacia and Eucalyptus trees which just happen to be super common there. Spent 6 months bracketing all of the oak pollen dump time in DC and barely sniffled. Hawaii, Florida and Washington are the same way. Barely ever a sniffle.
