Love a burg, myself.

And the most frustrating thing about American cuisine is the fact that we apparently cannot get grits in Canada.

Ffs, it comes from what is likely the most widely grown crop in our neighboring country, but none in the stores here.

All the polenta I can find is already wet, and in a tube.

Already there, but I want some corn porridge to go with it.

Infuriatingly little to be found. Small bags of Bob's red mill occasionally stocked at my local grocery, and other stores never. I find it very strange.

Sometimes it’s made from hominy (nixtamalized corn), which would be different. But yeah for plain grits it’s just a type of corn meal.

Hey Costco thread! I let this thread get away from me and have just skipped to the end so if I’m reposting crap I apologize.

1) the food court cookie is good, but the pro strat is to buy the cookies in the bakery and when you want one put it in the microwave for 10 seconds before eating it. I had to quit or I would have gotten fat(ter)
2) the 2 gallon jugs of vinegar are gone. Discontinued by the manufacturer supposedly according to Costco worker. It’s a sad day for our household

$1100 visa check cashed today! Costco is the land of contrasts but mostly good

ah man those vinegar jugs are my clothes softener. (they dont smell like vinegar when they come out and a like tablespoon in the wash makes your clothes really soft)

luckily i bought a box right before they must have discontinued them though so i got like another year of clothes softener to go.

it's $10 for a big honking sandwich when the standard subway footlong is $12 now or something.

The demand is there for lack of good alternatives.

The "reasonable" size we get in a normal costco is the 1.2kg tub which is about half of that bucket from the business centre

You know, I tried to age it in my fridge but no matter how hard I cranked the lid down, it made everything else in the fridge permanently smell kimchi including the butter.

Can I transfer it to a mason jar or would that be like dangerous pressure levels?
