So my choices were limited to another kindle or something where I could load the app - android devices like the inkpalm. like taiyoko said calibre can just automatically strip the drm from your kindle library so you can shove it all into a non-amazon e-reader or at least it used to be able to, i think people online were complaining about amazon forcing some new update recently that broke it. that might only be a problem with the kindle pc app and not if you grab the files from the real hardware though?

I was curious about cheap ultrasonic cleaners on Ali, figured I'd check some reviews because I remembered how someone (in this thread?) showed a picture of one that was just a vibrator/motor stuck to a tub, as opposed to an ultrasonic cleaner. Didn't expect to roll into a screed about Brazil's president being the giraffe rapist of the amazon (I think?). (25 people marked it as helpful.) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005861375334.html Has anyone in the thread tried one, and has one they'd like to suggest? I'd probably mostly use it to quickly clean out stuff like airbrush parts.

I mean if you get the vibrator/tub option, at least you could have them for Ali’s favorite/second favorite promoted pastime.

I bought a bunch of magnets and they are hilariously tiny, like each one is the size of half a grain of rice. Like wtf am I gonna do with these besides accidently ingest them or pump them out of my dog when she does.

You buy a bunch of tiny wooden bees, stick them to the magnets, and now you have bee magnets.

I've lost two disputes in the past couple months, which contrasts starkly with the dozen or so won disputes in the previous decade I think there is a change in policy inside AliExpress, and I think I'm going to tone it down even more than I was already. The shittification of the interface was the first thing that made me seriously reduce purchases

I'm glad to know it isn't just me. My current plan is to let the things I've already ordered arrive or hit their delivery deadlines and then charge back everything that wasn't delivered via my credit card provider all at once. I do need to order a couple more things, but using standard shipping they'll arrive before my current delivery deadlines hit. From then on I'm gonna be done with Ali except where it's things I need that aren't available elsewhere. Basically it'll go from choice #1 to the bottom of the list. Why the hell I can't buy plant hormones in small quantities anywhere else I have no idea. If anyone does have a better source for gibberellin and cytokinin in small quantities (<50g) at a non stupid price (shipped to Australia) then please let me know! Edit: I've messaged some eBay sellers to find out what shipping method they use. I'm gonna do whatever I can to avoid Cainaio Super Economy. Does anyone know what the eBay dispute process is like for non-delivery? yoloer420 fucked around with this message at 08:01 on Mar 2, 2024 |

In my experience and anecdotally other people's experiences, eBay supports the buyer no matter what in the vast majority of cases. In the case of non-delivery, I've never had to even say anything to eBay except clicking the "my package never arrived" thing. Then you have to wait some amount of time and then you either get your think or your money back.

Ali bike stuff buyers: what parts can I reasonably buy and expect to work(ish) and what parts would I be insane to trust? Also, any accessory suggestions for a stock used hybrid?

I was looking at solar system models and somehow this was in the results There’s a whole lot of other animal semen collection stuff spreading off from that listing - specific animal devices, storage vessels, insemination devices, etc. - but if you click on the image link your recommendations might suck for a while. Whoever suggested little animals for little magnets has inspired me. I got some tiny ducks and tiny penguins and tiny magnets. I’ve never hot glued anything so small before, wondering if I’ll need CA or something else instead. DRINK ME fucked around with this message at 10:54 on Mar 5, 2024 |

I've bought all kinds of bike junk and accessories from AliExpress, and have found most of it to be of at least passable quality. I've also watched a good bit of the YouTube channel TraceVelo, and he exclusively does reviews of AliExpress bike parts. Honestly, in my experience the actual bike parts seem to be okay, but the random accessories can be of wildly varying quality.
