I didn't know how much I loved Sting until he was nearly gone. Glad I could catch that final ride. I really really hate the Darby spot. It's beyond dumb and honestly takes me out of the event cause I legit thought he had seriously injured himself. It doesn't feel like I can buy any selling when the dude goes that high up through steel onto concrete and this time the glass. Just not enjoyable for me, have fun with it you sickos that love it but that spot ain't for me. I didn't like it when they did it with Jeff Hardy onto the pile of chairs, and I hated it even more here with the glass and the production gently caress up to make it look like he did it for funsies. Not seeing NICHOLAS on the glass before he went up the ladder made it a confusing spot. I will admit when they panned back and his back just started leaking blood...great visual, just hate how we got there. The Sting glass spot? loving beautiful and amazing. That man is a superhero and I love that he got to go out like one, TK and AEW did right by him. I really wish that Joe had rotated Hangman so he was staring at Swerve when he chose to tap. That feels like the kind of production thing you have to talk about knowing what your finish needs to be. As it stood, it was thrown out by commentary, but was not as obvious as I think it could/should have been for the actual story and performance. My forever champ is getting suspended for a while after beating down refs so Swerve can have his clean face turn to the title. Perhaps when he returns his facial hair will let us know he isn't mad anymore (they still have the best Chyron for him everytime).
