Lee Evans, from the era when the Bills were consistently trash but always seemed to have a good #1 receiver

I've seen Todd Pinkston mentioned in this thread several times but here's the main reason why I remember him I wish Sports Reference still had sponsored pages, there were some real gems back in the day.

Cliff Avril, who was a decent to good DE for Detroit during the Jim Schwartz era, and who later dipped to (successfully) ring-chase in Seattle. Have a very clear memory of him pick-sixing Phillip Rivers on SNF in 2011, a game that got Detroit its first playoff appearance of the 21st century. Though I guess Detroit had the game well in hand at that point, in my head it was the clinching score.

Sherrod Gideon was better, but had the worst-timed high ankle sprain of all time in his senior season, and couldn't make it out of training camp with the Saints. Ended up bouncing around the CFL.

Josh Reed. Met the dude several times. He was married to my cousin for awhile, won the Biletnikoff Trophy, set a ton of receiving records during his 2 years at LSU, was projected to go in the first round of the draft but then slipped to a high second. Spent his entire career at Buffalo when they were a dire rear end team, had a second shot because he helped Sam Bradford work out before he got drafted to the Rams so there was hope that Bradford might ask the Rams to bring him on board as well (he was a free agent at the time), now coaches High School ball

Tom Tupa had such a punter-rear end name that eventually he became one.

Jeff Fuckin’ Feagles I still remember Giants fans chanting “We want Feagles!” during some games in 2010 because of how bad Matt Dodge was, and that was weeks before he kicked it to loving Desean Jackson
