Does leveling as different vocations impact your overall growth much? If I want to be a Magic Archer later, will I benefit from leveling as Mage, etc? Also - are any vocations "must haves" for a party? I'm a little worried about not having a Mage pawn in my party, for the heal. IIRC Sorcerors don't have the heal? Same goes to a lesser extent for Fighter.

I like how you can see pawns' Arisens now when you're hiring them, so all the effort put into the player character doesn't go to waste, so to speak. (Also because now you can't hide your secret shame if you're playing as a default.)

So currently there is no way to just start a new game, huh? I got a good idea for me and a friend and our pawns just after starting, but from what I read Capcom are "looking into" adding that option (although it was in the same post as looking into performance...)

Fighting big monsters is really fun but yeah the performance is absolutely terrible. Dropping to 19fps in the cities and 30fps sometimes outside. hope there can be some kinda patch or driver update it's like I'm playing botw over here!

Delete your save and turn off cloud backup. Then you can start a new game. The game is limited to one save at a time, just like the original game. Maybe just rename your save and you might be able to swap between save files.

Found the Logistician specialization for pawns, the one that makes pawns rearrange the inventories of your party. It's from the high priest taking donations of food/gold outside the slums in Vernworth. Give a few donations and he'll give you a quick quest. Complete that.

So there's reports that Denuvo is banning accounts from online pawn access in this single player game if players manually delete their character to start over. Negative Steam review says the game auto-saved their character in a stuck-through-the-floor state, so his game is effectively bricked or at risk of being banned if he tries to manually delete and start over. Great job, Capcom. edit: I guess he could always manually reload from an inn, but that's still really lame.

That makes the "you can only have one character" situation a lot more tolerable and almost like FF14 or something. I guess you're also sort of incentivized to level other vocations for the passive, since IIRC they can be equipped on different vocations.

Anyone running a ryzen 5600 or similar want to share how the game is running in town (and in general)? I think I could tolerate dips to 40fps or so in town during non-action gameplay, and maybe brief moments of it if there's hyper spell-hell combat carnage going on, but some of the reports of ~20 fps in the town core are shocking and I'd probably wait to see what Capcom does if that's what's in store for me.

Went through a massive cave system with tonnes of branching paths, saved some soldiers, got out the other side of thr mountain miles from anything but in front of an oxcart being attacked by goblins. 1 minute down the road a massive battle between saurians, goblins, even more humans and a minotaur was raging. Another minute down the road, in pitch darkness I noticed the grass blowing in the wind oddly and was ambushed by a second minotaur. Game fuckin rules

I would like to not be at work so that I could instead be playing the Drag-on Dragogma. I went directly following the main quest to get to the capital, got a cool ninja helmet and shoulder cape for my thief (while still running around in the default rags otherwise), then went to immediately deliver a letter back to that starting city that’s entirely burned down. Was running around the wilderness for a while, then back to that burned down starting city and found out there’s also an entirely functional section that isn’t burned down completely lmao. Game rules.
