if Orpheus is really an apex brain wizard he should be able to read your achievements list like Psycho Mantis and catch people who saved and reloaded

Durge didn’t have the achievement but likely suspect. Paladin didn’t have the achievement either and Shadowheart didn’t have any commentary companions are supposed to react iirc. However breaking up with Shadowheart after the swimming scene kind of funny but ouch sorry VA.

With the Minthara and other companion dialogue mismatches I wouldn’t be shocked if it was a bug. And you can’t delete steam achievements with steam achievement manager so :iiam:

I’ve tried removing the hireling achievement and the program hasn’t really been updated since 2015 so something changed in the last two years.

You can do a full reset of your achievements but Achievement Manager definitely didn’t work for removing individual ones.

I think people try to save her because there's a slightly different ending if she and Hope are alive (and the one with only Hope alive is pretty bittersweet), but it's basically impossible if you persuade Yurgir because he's AI controlled and will probably squash her on the first turn.

Cast Globe of Invulnerability, send someone to knock Korilla out with non-lethal attacks, and throw her in to the globe. Not that tough, but wastes a lot of turns early on.

Yeah Hope is like an avatar of innocence and forgiveness so she just wants her sister to live even though she is responsible for her being imprisoned and tortured for centuries or whatever. Korilla died in both of my play throughs and I didn’t feel bad about it.

Yeah but Hope would like her sister alive, you don't get anything for it but she doesn't do revenge like say Red Mask would in Wrath of the Righteous. It wasn't because of Korilla but when Korilla was killed. We had her trapped in a resilient sphere the whole fight and the wizard was going to bonk her with his staff for the non lethal knock out. As Wizard closed the distance Durge hit her with ray of frost and I just sigh and hit right click + block. We started this campaign on launch day and made it up to the house of hope finale. Outside of this the Paladin has been trying to kill me with environmental effects which I just shrugged off because I have evasion, in Act 3 they started trying to shove me off of cliffs so I changed my insight expertise into Acrobatics. After that they started trying to throw me off a cliff so I made a doc sheet of script extender commands to make it impossible to move me by force until I turned it off.

After the House of Grief I used script extender to bolt the Paladins clothes to their body because if you're gonna pajama tank be a monk or barb.
You can see the Paladin try to shove me into a bottomless pit at the end of this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nyd9th6seMA The Korilla incident wasn't about morality it was just a confirmation to my friend that they are going to find a way to get the betrayal ending at the finale. I've had brief chats to just get rid of them earlier but my friend always said he would feel bad just cutting them out cold turkey. But the odd thing is due to timezone and schedule conflicts we could only play longer sessions on monday and 2 hour sessions over the weekend. Due to the way the point of no return works in co-op once you pass the morphic pool you can't invite people to join your game. They get a notification that says "This player needs to long rest". So we would've never been able to finish this without doing the Gale Ending*.

*Finish as the original 4 man group. When it was just my friend and I we could just set a time to be on and knocked this out. They went to Hell with Wyll and Karlach. Gale Ascended. Lae'zel leaves you with Orpheus unless you make Orpheus make the choice. Astarion gets the option to plan to kill their companions or just be an adventurer (I chose the latter). Knowing there is no dlc coming the more satisfying ending is asking Lae'zel to stay imo.

I did message them that they needed to cooperate with the group but that seemed to have just set a timer. Its my friend and a matched pair of other guys from online. I get along great with the friend from college but they weren't really trying to listen to me when I said "hey they are metagaming and trying to kill me can I just get rid of them". He was really excited to nerd out about a book series someone else was reading hence their hesitation to just sever. So the House of Hope incident was where I could finally get my friend to acknowledge what I've been talking about and we could finally go get this brain fight out of the way as a duo.

With script extender it kind of has the same use as Toybox for WOTR sometimes some weird poo poo is going to happen and putting in a console command just fixes it. Durge had permanent brain damage from the Creche and the patch didn't fix it (the status is supposed to go away with more tadpoles) so you bust out script extender. There was also a bug where only the game host could trigger a Garden Party romance until recent patches so I chose to go into script extender and set all the flags so the Paladin could romance Shadowheart. We realized something was wrong when the Dryad scene didn't trigger in the circus and that took a few hours to fix, I gave up on getting the camp events to trigger. But I learned how to make mods for this at least.

Oh, how awkward.
Is there a "right" order to do act 2/moonrise?

I think I finished all the beginning last light inn stuff. Saved whats-her-nuts from whos-its. Went through the basement and killed the meenlocks. Halsin spoke with the comatose dude. Pretty sure there's nothing else to do. Harpers are on the bridge. But I want to explore and do other quests so I told them to hang tight. Just found "He Who Was" or whatever and picked up a quest from him.

I've poked around guides/maps enough to know there's a bunch of stuff in the area, but I haven't dug enough to know what exactly everything is or what order I should do things. Vaguely trying to avoid spoilers, but also trying to make sure I don't miss anything cool (not just items, but story stuff... probably not going to do a 2nd play through).

I guess main question: I presume I do moonrise before the gaunlet of shar?

Also I'm planning on converting Shart to Selunite. Story-wise it seems the right thing to do what with the whole "abduction" thing or whatever. Or at least I think so, I guess I'll figure out more later!

Do the gauntlet of shar last, and everything else in whatever order you like.

Although I'd prioritize getting the drider's moon lantern if you haven't.

Docjowles

If you want you can do like 95% of the gauntlet. Similar to act 1 there’s a big “point of no return” popup before you do something that will lock you out of all remaining quests.

But yeah I definitely got the vibe that you are supposed to do Moonrise last since there has been so much build up. When in fact you should go there ASAP cause you get more quests and there are vendors with sick gear.

I just went there last and found out I missed out on a good vendor and who knows what else but yeah I also thought there was a reason to go there last.

Yeah, do moonrise before the gauntlet of shar. There is a distinct point of no return with a giant pop-up asking you if you're sure before you're locked out of anything you've missed. You should expect to bounce around a few times between moonrise/the town and the inn, though the gauntlet can be run straight through once you're ready (but also you can do part of it, leave, come back).

Honestly it was more fun and easier than doing it the normal way.

this is how I've done it every playthrough and it's great. you can also aggro the top floor guys from the roof and have them jump up to get you so you can throw them off one by one, but the pathing gets buggy sometimes.

God drat the Iron Throne was an awesome setpiece and a blast to play, saved everyone except one gnome who got caught in a Sahuagin killzone. It seemed appropriate that Minsc was the last one back onto the submersible, escorting Duke Ravengard out on the last turn (and I had to save him from the spiders too), and Boo not only contributed significantly to the escape by pinning down a Sahuagin, but managed to make it back to the submersible himself with only 2 HP remaining. That was some serious special forces poo poo. :stare:

Others have mentioned you can do most stuff in any order aside from the one thing that triggers the end of the act, which is true, but I’d like to recommend that you at least visit moonrise sooner rather than later. There’s a bunch of quests that start from Moonrise, there’s vendors with some cool stuff, and it paces the act well if you go there in the middle of the act rather than showing up right at the end to just dip in and say hello before running off to the point of no return.

Your choice of course!
