Market-cap (i.e. number of shares * cost) is only really meaningful when a potential merger or acquisition is on the horizon. I.e. if there is a prospect of someone buying the company for what it's actually worth. Otherwise, it's really just a question of predicting what other traders will do. It's all bullshit and vibes. Immediately sell the stock At some point you have to buy the stock back.
