I'm surprised that didn't just break and fall forward onto the road, aren't those bolts designed to be snap away for car crash safety?

There's probably a significant difference in torque even with the extra distance

Breakaway safety bolts are designed to shear easily; not break under tensile stress. You want the pole to break off easily when the pole is pushed horizontally near the base (where impacts are); not because heavy wind is blowing at the top of it (or because you've put a heavy truss arm extending from the top).

Treating opposites as real quantities is fun. "Dryness" is absolutely a resource in limited supply when hiking in a damp forest. "Cold" can be stored and carried around and used judiciously. See also xkcd.

I've met Hobby Germans through living history events and shows, they all have matching overalls for each club. It doesn't matter what hobby it is, fixing up old trucks/tractors, RC trucks/tractors, static engines (from trucks/tractors) - the first thing your club must do after you decide on the logo is everyone gets matching embroidered overalls and ideally, a little cap.
