Kennel posted:Paperboy being paid by the customers sounds like really inconvenient system. It absolutely was, and I super hated collecting every month. I never had anyone who really put it off, thankfully, but keeping track of everyone's checks and cash was annoying and there were only like maybe forty people on my route. I'm not sure if it was a top-down decision from my local paper to have everyone pay-by-mail, but I was glad for it when it happened.

Selachian posted:Archie 1/19-21/50 I paused to think how this prank would work for long enough that I figured it would actually end in the three bullies breaking through the ice. Maybe that's the real prank pulled by Archie comics on bullies reading it for inspiration. e: also, Jughead has teamed up with [Archie's rival whose name I don't know]. Guess Jughead can appreciate a good prank on Archie as well as anyone.

Even if the other side spots one of the subs today, it won't be there anymore tomorrow, so there's no way for this capability to be taken out in a surprise first strike, like could happen to an ICBM silo or a bomber base. That's a tremendous improvement over the other bomb delivery methods. Now let's see, what could we do next with these missiles... hey guys, I have a fantastic idea that surely wouldn't throw away the system's one big advantage!"
