Greed Island felt like finishing a long rear end jrpg by the end of it, never felt that before in a series. Like I paused and read evey card description as it came up lol

brother came down to visit recently we just marathoned hxh all the way through greed island. super cool watchiing all the themes and characters develop and express themselves and the world slowly discovering that it's not ready for a kid like Gon.

Greed Island was probably my favorite arc, it seemed so drat fun. Plus it's got Kiryu as a super strong volleyball guy. I binged the whole series a few months ago, went through the entire chimera ant arc in two days and by the end of it my brain was just mush.

I was kind of lukewarm on it my original watch (Dodgeball obviously was awesome regardless), I think it was due to burnout from my bingewatching at the time though, but this rewatch made me really appreciate it more. Didn't feel like there was a low moment the whole series lol.
