Is there an entry for how many off-world women he's got funky with?? Off the top of my head;

- His wife
- Lady from the Land of Light (when he goes all caveman)
- Hathor (well, he got raped)
- Crazy Princess with the sarcophagus
- Ke'ra/Linea
- His ex-gf with Osiris
- Brenna (well, probably just friends, but you know it was gonna happen)

I'm only up to season 5 too with my rewatching, so I can't remember more

So far I have seen Jack go through so much poo poo

Killed by Apophis
Shot by trinium arrow
Pinned to wall by 100,000 year old probe
Turned to caveman
Turned to old man
Ancient library implanted in his brain
Shot by Jaffa stick like ten times by now
Turned into a robot
Turned into a Jaffa
Has his body swapped
Stuck in simulation loop of his friends dying
Zatted
Dying alien impersonating his son
Another dying alien taking his son's name and asking if he could be his son
His surrogate son being implanted with a Goa'uld
His surrogate son being killed (later revived)
Implanted with a fake memory of watching his second best friend burned to death

I'm not even through season 2 yet

Jacob/Selmak is such a great character. First, just as Sam's Dad. And they have some of the best scenes in early Stargate, as they are both well intentioned and well meaning, but at odds. Jacob should get that Sam CAN'T talk about what she's actually doing, since he's an Air Force General. But he's also a dying father who's decided to spend his last days doing everything he can to get his daughter into the astronaut program.

Carter saying "Dad?" as Jacob walks away politely but obviously in anger is one of the most heartbreaking moments of the show.

And then, he becomes one of the most wise and respected Tok'Ra, a long time leader.

BUT, over time, he becomes less and less trusted by the Tok'Ra because of his "too close" connections to the Tau'ri.

It's just a fascinating storyline.

despite having zero resemblance to Sam, the chemistry is there. The actor talks like a mafia stereotype and is clearly Italian-American, while Sam is 100% not. It still works!

Carmen is a great actor for the role and good on him for breaking out of stereotype. He’s played, quite a few mobsters.

I gotta say in the finale of season 2 and the opener or season 3 Richard Dean Anderson seemed checked the gently caress out. Like about to be implanted with a Goa'uld the only emotion I could read from him was mild annoyance like "I wasn't even supposed to be here today".

Loved Hammond of Texas going on a one man mission to Chulak to get Teal'c and the cavalry.

I have to assume the later series Atlantis which as far as I know is a space based earth ship show is possible due to their earlier capture of two mostly intact death gliders, this Jaffa ship, and other stuff SGC teams have been getting. Looking forward to seeing this all bear fruit.

When did Atlantis get spun off from SG1? Season six, seven? I recall watching new episodes back to back for quite a while when they were on the air, but I remember a lot more stuff from SG1 than Atlantis. Probably because of reruns
