if the jan 6th poo poo didn't happen they'd just be comparing it to occupy or the "blm riots" or whatever else it makes no difference

it makes a difference inasmuch as that it's a wake-up moment for those leftists who figured that criminalizing protest was a good thing bc it was gonna be limited to silencing their political enemies.

it also makes a difference bc it's an election year in which the democrat party has hung its hat on "preserving democracy" and "defeating the fascists" yet their actions & rhetoric are proving that they're just as dangerous as the GOP and how hypocritical they are.

isnt drug scheduling an entirely internal policy of the executive branch? like even the if the re-scheduling of it goes through it would have no actual binding effects on drug enforcement policy and the government is still fully able to simply treat high-melan"risk" individuals the exact same as before?

Reiner said that Harvey Weinstein is a "bad guy" but Trump is "also an abuser".[16] Reiner endorsed Joe Biden for president for the 2020 election.[21]

Reiner serves on the advisory board of the Committee to Investigate Russia.[17][18] He and David Frum launched the site in September 2017 with Morgan Freeman warning people that "We are at war" and that Russia has attacked the United States.[18] Others on the committee's advisory board at the time of launch included James Clapper, Max Boot, Charles Sykes, and Norman Ornstein.[18][19] Additionally, in early November 2020, the advisory board included Evelyn Farkas, Michael Hayden, Michael Morrell, Leon Panetta, and Clint Watts.[20]

Weed is meant to be legal enough to allow the upper classes to get high and profit off of it without being hassled by the cops, but still illegal enough to allow the police to use it for probable cause

After several people said it was good I tried listened to this actual song.

I think my main issue is that LMM himself really loving sucks at singing. It's good that he doesn't do most of the singing in this song, but every time he pops up it just ruins the vibes.

It also feels weird to write a musical where you're the main character and then write a song about how passionately other characters love you. I looked this up out of curiosity, and it seems like some historians speculate about there having been an affair, but one of the lines from the song is derived from a much later real-life letter (where she mentions Eliza sharing her husband) that was most likely just playful joking rather than "this woman having a bone-deep yearning for our brilliant, sexy, perfect protagonist Lin-Manuel MirandaHamilton."

Okay, listen, I wanted to tell you this, and I was holding back because I didn't know what Barack's decision was going to be, but at this point Arab-Americans and young people have refused to vote for Joe. They're boycotting the president only because of the genocide! Money talks and bullshit walks and if the first term had been a hit, then we could have pressed on them. I'll talk to Barack and maybe we can come up with a compromise at the convention. A new candidate that we can all live with.
