They're good for the price, which is very cheap. The low latency mode is prone to interference and the noise cancelling isn't great, but they really are extremely cheap for what you get and they don't sound bad at all.

I've noticed the battery life isn't really that great on them. They are fine for the price overall though.

That worked, although I not only had to change the resolution, but also turn on the "set resolution for internal and external display" toggle.

This game is amazing. 8 bit rogue like (lite maybe? Not far into it) that's most like into the gungeon with auto aiming with Diablo items to equip, including set items. It's hitting a lot of my dopamine buttons even though the control layout is weird starting off.

Buy it!

E: the aesthetic nearly turned me off from buying it but it's fine. Also I never got into into the gungeon but already I like this one way more because vampire survivors like auto aim (though you need to hold the trigger to attack).

What’s the goon recommendation for playing Fallout New Vegas on Steam Deck? Did somebody make a good package of mods/foxes or is it “plug yer nose and play vanilla”?

Something in Persona 3 Reload on Steam Deck broke for me. I’m very late game, and the game freezes whenever I use a Persona in battle. Was working fine this morning. I installed the new Proton update. Switched versions back and forth, and then even went back to the stable branch, and it still does it. I’m considering on uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

The game did patch like, today I think. Super lite detail on the patch notes too, like "minor optimizations" and 2 other things. Maybe try a verify game files thing first in case it didn't apply right?

Maybe. I did uninstall and reinstall and now I’m getting a cool DRM error. I’ll figure this out tomorrow.

Deuovo does that. I think it might have been this thread talking about it, each proton version counts as a separate license activation limit or whatever. Should sort itself out in about a day iirc

That’s a good guide. Looks like it covers everything.

For the UIO issue I just downgraded the mod to version 2.2. I don’t think switching Proton versions helped avoid the crashing but maybe I didn’t try the right ones.

This is a two-part question:

1 - is Fallout 76 worth a drat nowadays, being years removed from its awful launch, if all I want is a multiplayer Fallout-like experience?

2 - if so, is it good on the Deck?

I've put over 700 hours into GTA Online just last year, so I'm good with instanced online stuff where I can gently caress around with friends and isn't huge on story stuff. Is it ok for that kind of thing?

I've never played it to be fair, but my guess is since it's made by Bethesda on their 20 year old engine and tools, I would be very surprised if it can do anything like gta5 online does.

Honestly from reading other people talk about it, lots of them just ignore the multi and play it like another single player fallout, but they acknowledge there are pretty much no consequences to choices like you would normally expect in fallout quest lines, I guess to keep the game world the same for everyone versus having to instance things off for individual choices. (Because it's too much work or they don't want to splinter players apart for choices they made, take your pick)

Also there's no way there's any VATS mechanics in PVP, right?

Edit: I just remembered that I've heard the same thing about FO4 re: choices not mattering, so maybe it's just laziness

If you’re really into building little camps and a reasonably clunky looter-shooter action it’s probably great, to be fair.

Hell yeah! Virtual display did the trick.

Was a pain to set up; Windows is a bit dumb about multi-monitors, but if I force the virtual one to only support the exact resolution of my primary display then select Duplicate Displays I get a "one monitor" setup that still streams to the Deck while KVM switched to my work stuff.

How did they handle it? I assume the person who didn't slow time down was still moving slowly, but their mouse movement and interface interactions were slowed down? That's how I'd do it.

As a primarily Deck based person these days, how good is the new Humble Fun-geon Crawler bundle games on deck?

$7 for
- Devil Spire
- Hellslave
- Going Under

$11 gets you
- Lunacid
- Siralim Ultimate

$15 gets you
- Abalon (Summoner's Fate)
- MythForce

Lunacid's on my radar, and just buying it here is a $2 discount, but am I better off just waiting for the summer sale? Or are there some hidden gems here?

Otherwise I'm just going to play more balatro and Isaac.

Siralim Ultimate is genuinely one of my favorite games, I've played over 400 hours between the deck and my phone (there's a cross save system). Famously, the reason it's Playable and not Verified is basically solely because the splash screen is hardcoded to say "Press E to start" (you can also press the A button just fine). It's an extremely deep monster battler where the whole conceit is to build the most broken combos. There are over a thousand different mons with unique abilities, and you can fuse any two mons together to get a creature with both abilities and a blend of stats. You can reclass to dozens of different specializations with their own builds; some of my favorites are Monk (dodge tank) Pyromancer (build exponentially increasing burn DOT) and Witch Doctor (confuse enemies into damaging one another). If there's anyone here who isn't sure about the whole bundle but who's interested in Siralim Ultimate, I'd be more than happy to share my extra key.
