I remember January, when D&D told me that Biden's awful polling didn't matter. I remember March, when D&D told me Biden's even worse polling still didn't matter. There's actually pressure to go with bad nonhumor with just signifiers like 'trump bad!' So people will know to just laugh vs actually writing a joke.
