Darby would be perfect if he wasn't injured but I wouldn't replace Kingston or Danielson with him. The same goes for, say, MJF. FTR was sold as a choice immediately by the Bucks when they acknowledged that they're only there not because they like Kenny or are hardcore AEW stumpers but because they hate the Bucks, but I suppose they could have maybe had Top Flight make the save last week since they're a young face team who have been there since day one, but...well, I love them, but are you really going to say they're bigger than FTR? Nah. Danielson's addition adds a lot of intrigue as well, which is what they're going for. Eddie is basically as AEW-made as you're gonna get in the modern day considering his hiring saved him and how he ALWAYS gets absolutely massive reactions.

Orange Cassidy's first appearance was in AEW's first match ever so that would be pretty hard. Moxley is the world champion of another promotion and requested time off from AEW to work for that promotion. He just defended said title this past weekend. Sammy was suspended for murdering Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy is loving dead.

I was actually expecting something like 650k, .20. Being slightly higher than last week despite being up against a larger-market playoff game with only three non-marquee matches advertised is a little weird. TBH I could just as easily see Turner losing the NBA as beneficial to AEW in its negotiations (doesn't have to worry about trimming the belt after throwing 3 billion at a live sports rights bubble on the verge of bursting, plus what the hell else do they have left) or detrimental (cash-poor company, might be tying itself to a sinking ship). maruhkati fucked around with this message at 22:27 on May 9, 2024 |
