MJF's music played to start the show, but CM Punk walked out instead. He got a rather mixed reaction in MJF's hometown and proceeded to taunt the hometown fans. He revealed a "four pillars" shirt and called MJF an "incel" before reminding the fans that MJF ran away the last time they squared up.

Next week, Punk will have his eyes on the AEW World Championship match between Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson. Before that happens, he and MJF need to settle things. He said his dog Larry has more balls than MJF -- and he's neutered. Punk wants MJF to stand up and fight, and if that's who the fans back, they're all "chickensh*t."

MJF got a detailed entrance video vignette. He pulled up to his old high school in a Ferrari as a voice-over hailed him as a Long Island hero and listed his accomplishments. He was the only wrestler to get a full entrance for the battle royale.

MJF and Dante Martin were the final two participants in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale

The participants were MJF, Wardlow, Matt Hardy, Frankie Kazarian, Jay Lethal, Powerhouse Hobbs, Dante Martin, Lio Rush, Ricky Starks, Lee Moriarty, Matt Sydal, and Lee Johnson.

Wardlow quickly eliminated Moriarty and saved MJF from elimination at the hands of Jay Lethal. The Bunny passed brass knuckles to Hardy, and he eliminated Lethal after striking him, but Dante immediately eliminated Hardy. Dante and Lio Rush faced off but were knocked down by Wardlow and Hobbs, who had a power battle. Wardlow nearly eliminated Hobbs before a front flip kick from Rush sealed the deal. Starks and Rush battled it out before commercial.

Once back, Wardlow and MJF were swarmed by the other competitors in the match. Rush and Johnson tried to eliminate Wardlow, but MJF came up and eliminated all three. Kazarian tried to eliminate MJF, but MJF bridged the ropes and Kazarian went flying.

The final were MJF, Dante Martin, and Ricky Starks. It appeared that Team Taz had a two-on-one advantage, but Dante turned on Starks and eliminated him.

It will be MJF vs. Dante Martin next week for the Dynamite diamond ring.

– After the match, MJF raised Dante's hand. Starks ran back in and attacked Dante. MJF looked on conflicted on the stage, but then he ran to the ring to run interference. He and Starks faced off, but then MJF attacked Dante. CM Punk ran down and MJF bailed out of the ring. Dante hit Starks with an enziguiri and Punk hit the GTS to stand tall to end the segment.

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) and the Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison) (w/ Christian Cage & Julia Hart) defeated The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) and 2point0 (Jeff Parker & Matt Lee) (w/ Daniel Garcia)

Bowens started off with Jungle Boy, who fought off all four or his opponents. The Blonds tagged in as Pillman landed a diving dropkick and then Garrison hit a wild dive on everyone. A dropkick Hart Attack on Caster got two. 2point0 distracted the official, allowing Bowens to interfere as the illegal man. The Acclaimed and 2point0 isolated Pillman in their corner of the ring. This was a long beatdown.

Pillman finally broke through after double knees, reaching Luchasaurus for the hot tag. The big man ran wild on everyone, including chokeslamming Bowens onto Caster. Jungle Boy tagged in with the rebound lariat, but then we got a parade of big moves from everyone. Jungle Boy went for the Snare Trap, but Garcia hopped on the apron to distract the official. Eddie Kingston ran out and pulled Garcia off the apron.

Caster missed the Mic Drop and Jungle Boy locked on the Snare Trap for the submission victory.

– After the match, Kingston brought a camera backstage and called for a fight. Ortiz tried to talk him down, but 2point0 and Garcia attacked them and left them laying.

FTR and Tully Blanchard were backstage. Tully talked up FTR's accomplishments, and Cash said the Lucha Brothers' one victory over them was a mistake. Dax said this Friday's tag title match is the biggest match of their career.

The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (w/ Adam Cole & Brandon Cutler) defeated CHAOS (Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero) (w/ Orange Cassidy)

This was a stellar tag team match, the first pure Bucks match we've seen in a while, and the post-match was hot.

Rocky and Nick started off. They had a nice choreographed exchange until Rocky took control with an arm drag. Chuck and Matt tagged in, with Chuck rolling Matt up for two. The Bucks dropkicked Chuck off the apron, but Rocky dispatched Nick and took him out with a tope suicida. Matt immediately came back with a dropkick to the floor. The Bucks isolated Rocky in their corner and beat him down with frequent tags until Rocky escaped to Chuck for a hot tag.

Chuck came in with a DDT and flatliner combination. He then landed a tope con giro onto both Bucks but immediately turned around into double superkicks. Rocky took a superkick as well, then the Bucks did their rope-run kiss with Cole on the floor. Nick hit a soccer kick on Chuck followed by a flipping senton, sending Chuck to the floor. The Bucks did the senton again in the ring as they dominated into the commercial.

Once back, Cole leveled Orange with a pump kick. Chuck had put his cool-guy shades on and tossed Nick overhead into Matt. Rocky tagged in and went for the Forever Clotheslines before hitting a double hurricanrana and then a step-up hurricanrana on Nick. Back in the ring, Rocky hit Sliced Bread on Matt for two.

Nick attacked Rocky with an X-factor but ran into Soul Food from Chuck. Matt went for multiple Northern Lights suplexes but Rocky turned it into a DDT. Cutler distracted the official and Cole tried to get involve, but Orange cut him off with his weak strikes. Nick crushed him with a superkick, but Cutler inadvertently cold sprayed Matt in the face. Rocky jackknifed Matt, but Nick broke up the pin in the nick of time.

Matt countered Sliced Bread into Tombstone position, but Rocky cradled out of it for a fantastic backslide near fall. Matt pumphandled Romero into perfect Meltzer Driver position and the Bucks hit it for the win.

– SuperKliq and Cutler beat down the others after the match. Wheeler YUTA ran down but was immediately knocked down by Cole. Cole then hit the Panama Sunrise on Orange. SuperKliq set up for a three-way BTE Trigger, but Best Friends' music played and Sue drove up in her minivan with Trent in tow. Trent had a shaved head making his return after spinal surgery.

Trent speared Cutler on the ramp and took out Matt and Cole with lariats before dispatching Nick with a half-and-half suplex. The Best Friends all hugged to end the segment as Rocky's "Roppongi Vice" theme played.

Ruby Soho was interviewed backstage but was immediately interrupted by Bunny and Penelope Ford. They said that Nyla Rose had promised them title shots when she wins the TBS Championship. Soho attacked them but was surprised by Rose. Anna Jay and Tay Conti chased them off.

Sammy Guevara was about to be interviewed on the ramp but was immediately interrupted by Cody Rhodes, who announced Guevara would defend the TNT Championship against him. Cody walked off, but Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky interrupted from the stands. Page was frustrated by the "open challenge" aspect of things, accusing Cody of nepotism. He thanked Dan Lambert for getting him his title match and announced that he would return.

Sky said Guevara would face anyone -- except guys ranked in the top 5. He told Guevara to prove he's a champion, and Guevara was ready for a match.

Riho defeated Jamie Hayter (w/ Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. & Rebel)

These two matched up really well. Riho's a star.

Hayter tried to overpower Riho early on with a scoop slam for two. She targeted Riho's midsection and distracted the official, allowing Baker to land a cheap shot. Riho came back with a tijeras and a tiger feint kick. She climbed the ropes and landed a diving crossbody for two. She then dove off the top again towards Hayter, who sort of caught her and drove her back into the ring post.

Back in the ring, Hayter continued the beatdown on Riho's torso leading into the break. Riho started a comeback with a cazadora takeover and a standing double stomp. She rolled Hayter up for two, but Hayter powered out of a dragon suplex. Riho turned it around and hit the dragon suplex for two. Hayter turned a Northern Lights suplex into a nasty brainbuster for a near fall.

Hayter crushed Riho with a backbreaker for another two. She locked on a single-leg crab, but Riho rolled through and cradled Hayter for two. Riho landed a rising knee and hit a Yoshi Tonic for a good near fall. She then climbed the ropes and hit the top-rope double stomp for another good near fall.

Riho climbed the ropes again, but Hayter met her at the top. Riho fought her off, but Rebel interfered with the official distracted, allowing Hayter to go for a top-rope Samoan drop. Riho turned it into an avalanche crucifix bomb, then the Somato finished Hayter off for three.

– After the match, Baker attacked Riho and beat her down.

Bryan Danielson defeated John Silver

Silver took down Danielson early on with impressive power. Danielson quickly regained control and landed a diving knee drop to the back of Silver's head as the latter was draped over the apron. Danielson dominated through a commercial break.

Upon return, Danielson was nailing Silver in the corner with stiff strikes. Silver started his comeback by reversing a missile dropkick into a powerbomb. He peppered Danielson with kicks and rolled through into a heel hook. Danielson tried to fight out, but Silver wouldn't let go, so Danielson desperately fought to force a break.

Silver landed a cannonball senton out on the floor. Danielson landed on his feet on a German attempt and crushed Silver with a buzzsaw kick. Silver countered the Busaiku Knee and hit a German suplex bridge for two. He went for the spin doctor throw, but Danielson raked the eyes and trapped Silver's head against his knee, raining down elbow strikes.

Danielson then hit a Gotch-style piledriver and locked on some submission (the camera angle made it hard to see) for the win.

– After the match, Danielson listed all the Dark Order members whose head he kicked in, saying he'd do the same to Page next week. He beat down Silver until Page ran out and attacked him, sending him packing. Page grabbed a mic and said "Next week, I'm gonna stomp the cowboy sh*t outta you."
