syscall girl posted:Yeah. Kinda nit-picky, but this would behave differently with a hard stop behind the flask/cucumber. Right now, some of the energy goes into accelerating the flask, which wouldn't happen if it were in your pocket. More of the energy (not a ton more, mind you) would go into penetration. Probably most important with the second bullet, since it was very close to penetration anyhow. The small difference between a massive target (you) and a lightweight target might have made the difference. Then again, a full flask would offer better protection, and I can't begin to estimate which effect would be greater.

When I read the headline of that ITS A PRANK story I thought "another life tragically cut short by people not treating firearms like they're loaded" but no they actually put bullets in it and shot the dude through a book holy poo poo. They're so dumb it boggles the mind they lived long enough to reproduce without dying in a tragic shoelace-tying incident or something years ago.

It's basically just 24 hours of them running around a gym and being punished, so there's not really celebrity appearances or jokes about current events you won't get unless you live in Japan.

If he pulled up in a bulldozer and ran the monument over I'd be impressed. Or if he somehow convinced the police that the crane he brought was taking the monument temporarily so they could fix a typo and then drop it from three hundred feet. Or if he made a battering ram in the shape of Kali. Smashing a car into it? There' no pizazz.
