I've been working 5 years at a grocery store now and that has helped me be far more social, but I do all I can to avoid conflict because I break under pressure.

On the other hand our toilet flush pipe sprang a leak and a replacement flush pipe wasn't one of the essential items the hardware store was selling online, and we didn't feel like paying for a plumber so we bogged it up with silicone sealant.
