I am thinking that Norma may have been more of a role-model in Becky's life than Shelly or Bobby. In the diner, when Shelly starts crying, Norma seems to make eye contact with Becky, give her a slight nod, and then Becky suddenly starts apologizing to Shelly and stuff.

Edit: Rewatching, Shelly first calls Norma after Becky runs off with her car and asks "What do I do?" Seems like Shelly has been leaning on Norma pretty hard for "how do I actually deal with things in my life?"

I love these dumb rear end casino brothers who get extremely worked up over everything

My favorite moment was one of the girls saying "He's coming out of the bathroom now". What reason could she possibly have for announcing that.

Also now that Dougie is best friends with the chuckle brothers, his crooked coworker is gonna have to kill him. I keep wondering if Bushnell is going to end up punching someone who comes after Dougie.

Also, lol 25 years go by and Shelly still can't help but hook up with the biggest poo poo head drug dealers in town. That's a bummer to me. It seems like, for better or worse, pretty much all the other returning characters have changed or developed in the last two and a half decades. Not Shelly though.

I hope things work out for Norma eventually.

Was it just me or was Shelly driving the exact same type of Oldsmobile that Chester Desmond abandoned at the trailer park in FWWM?

Also, Harry Dean Stanton is a living legend and a freaking Battle of Okinawa Veteran.

Someone mentioned that in Ep 10 Candie talking about the weather with Tony might have been something with the weather report being on the TV while she was breaking down about hitting Rodney Mitchum (I think it might have been mentioned on Peaked.) This episode it's all about cars everywhere. Maybe she's broken and just constantly picking up the traffic and weather in her head.

I was pretty happy that the whole remote control slap wasn't just a pointless scene, but was part of keeping up the eternal Rube-Goldberg machine that is keeping Dougie alive.

This has been one of my favorite episodes so far. Lots of weird stuff going on, lots of interesting character development. And possibly 2 seconds of our old friend Cooper seeing through the fog.

Some unconnected thoughts:
* Is the map that Hawk has the one that was given to Lewis (or was it Clark) in the book?
* Albert seems completely casual about pulling Gordon back from potentially disappearing out of our reality completely, as opposed to at least showing some concern about that being not at all a normal thing.
* Only Diane, Albert, and Gordon saw the woodman guy, Tammy and Detective Macklay did not. Maybe Diane/Albert/Gordon being involved in past Blue Rose cases has made them sensitive to things that others are not?
* The limo driver has some great emoting when Bushnell tells Dougie he's going to love where he's going, like he knows where he's taking Dougie isn't going to be a fun place.

VVVVV I am loving seeing so much Albert. He was my favorite character next to Cooper in the original, and he's been just as amazing this season.

Just saw that scene again and I totally did not recognize her, whatever that drug is has hit her hard. So disappointed that the most talented piano player in Twin Peaks is now ruining marriages.

I wonder if Harriet will show up. We're apparently not going to see Donna, so the rest of the Hayward family being involved would be cool.

I am baffled by anyone claiming that the pianist at the end was playing Laura's theme. The two songs are not remotely the same melody, at all. Not all slow sad piano songs are the same song.

If you haven't gone to Johnny Jewel's (from the Chromatics) Spotify page I highly recommend doing so. He has a twin peaks playlist of all the songs and music from the season, and maybe some that haven't been played (yet) (and I think a bunch of songs from his "Italians Do It Better" label that have a Twin Peaks vibe.). And also the original Twin Peaks soundtrack and FWWM as well.

WHO ABUSED HIM. WHO ABUSED THE BOY.
Incredibly enjoyable episode. I have a silly hunch that the sick screamcar teen's illness might be related to the "sparkle" drug epidemic that's lowkey infesting the town. The frequent orange vomit reminded me directly of GARMONBOZIA and the direct supplier of the drug has been shown to be Red, of which there's that theory that he's an older version of the lodge's Magician Kid. So he'd have a vested interest in propagating such worldly mischief to feed upon

I don't think we are going to see cooper come back until the end, just long enough for him to say goodbye and sacrifice himself to defeat evil coop and Bob. These seeming flashes of cooper are nothing more than echoes meant to remind us of what we lost. I wouldn't be surprised if cooper's never brought back, but im banking on Lynch allowing us at least a final goodbye to the cooper we know and love, and not the shadow that's currently there. There's certainly no guarantee he will give us even that though.

I'm just thinking that the emotional gut punch would be far greater if we get coop back and then lose him right away vs him already being gone for good. I have a feeling it's going to be an absolutely savage finale. On the plus side it looks like we are in for more cocaine wizard, and he's just so drat happy about being a magical karate coke dealer that it brightens up my day just by seeing him. Balthazar Getty is owning the poo poo out of that role so far I can't wait to see more

I'm intrigued by the fact Gordon started to get sucked into a Lodge-type space, Albert sees whats up and stops it, and then they both go on and just... leave it and go on with their lives? I guess they can't go into the Lodge now but they do seem very unconcerned with the fact that portal is there. Not that they can even do anything about it.

Gordon later says: "Now I remember. I saw them." like he forgot. Maybe getting close to the lodge puts you into a dreamlike state. Similarly to how the Mitchum brother couldn't quite remember his dream.

I'm enjoying how unclear it is of exactly how much of the otherworld the FBI is already aware of. The nuke and the framed picture of corn on the cob in Gordon's office is fairly suspect. They didn't get too hung up on the fact that a black hole suddenly opened about 15-20 feet from the fence or that Gordon started to vanish.
